Abstract: A laminate comprising a first nonwoven layer comprising a plurality of apertures and a second nonwoven layer is provided. One of the first and second nonwoven layers is a pre-strained layer and is joined to the other one of the first and second nonwoven layers. The other one of the first and second nonwoven layers is a non-pre-strained layer. The pre-strained layer and the non-pre-strained layer together form a three-dimensional laminate.

Abstract: An absorbent article comprises a liquid permeable topsheet, a liquid impermeable backsheet, an absorbent core between the topsheet and the backsheet. The absorbent core comprises an absorbent material. The absorbent article further comprises a distribution material between the topsheet and the absorbent core. The distribution material is notionally divided in a front region, a back region and a middle region located between the front and the back region. Each of the front, back and middle regions is ? of the length of the distribution material. At least one of the front, back and middle regions of the distribution material comprises one or more layers. The one or more layers of the distribution material comprise a fibrous structure made of wet-laid fibers.

Abstract: A method of laundering a fabric comprising the steps of: applying a laundry pretreat composition to a stain on a fabric in a pretreat step; and washing the fabric from step (a) in an automatic or semiautomatic washing machine or in a hand wash operation.
Abstract: The present disclosure is directed, in part, to an absorbent article that comprises a liquid management system (LMS) and an absorbent core disposed at least partially intermediate a topsheet and a backsheet. The LMS defines one or more channels substantially free of superabsorbent polymers. The one or more channels of the LMS may at least partially overlap channels defined by the absorbent core. The absorbent article may comprises a liquid distribution system (LDS) that defines one or more channels.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are articles that include water-soluble films, where the water-soluble films include a polyvinyl alcohol (PVOH) polymer and a combination of at least three plasticizers. The combination of plasticizers includes dipropylene glycol as a first plasticizer, a sugar alcohol such as sorbitol as a second plasticizer, and a polyol such as glycerin as a third plasticizer. When the PVOH polymer and plasticizers are blended in particular proportions and/or selected with regard to various criteria related to physical and chemical film properties, the resulting water-soluble film formed from the PVOH resin blend exhibits beneficial combinations of aged tensile strength, aged melting transition delta elevation, aged adhesion value, and/or resistance to seal peeling, which provide strong film seals that retain their water-solubility characteristics.

Abstract: Grafted, crosslinked cellulosic materials used in absorbent articles, the grafted crosslinked cellulosic materials including cellulose fibers and polymer chains composed of at least one monoethylenically unsaturated acid group-containing monomer (such as acrylic acid) grafted thereto, in which one or more of the cellulose fibers and the polymer chains are crosslinked (such as by intra-fiber chain-to-chain crosslinks). Some of such materials are characterized by a wet bulk of about 10.0-17.0 cm3/g, an IPRP value of about 1000 to 7700 cm2/MPa·sec, and/or a MAP of about 7.0 to 38 cm H2O. Methods for producing such materials may include grafting polymer chains from a cellulosic substrate, followed by treating the grafted material with a crosslinking agent adapted to effect crosslinking of one or more of the cellulosic substrate or the polymer chains.
