  • Patent number: 6060547
Abstract: The invention is a water-in-oil emulsion film forming foundation having a synergistic combination of about 0.5% to about 10% by weight of a water soluble or water dispersible film forming polymer, as well as about 0.5% to about 35% by weight of the composition of one or more plasticizing solvent(s). Both the polymer and solvent(s) combined together in the aqueous phase are in a cosmetically acceptable carrier providing suitable feel and appearance during application, as well as excellent wear and appearance benefits after application. Yet this film forming foundation provides a flexible, light feel that resembles other foundations, and is easily removed with soap and water.

  • Patent number: 6048368
Abstract: The present invention provides a more effective method of treating a spot or stain on a textile fabric, the method comprising the steps of: applying a detergent composition to the spot or stain; placing an absorbent layer adjacent to one side of the textile fabric in the region of the spot or stain; and applying heat, pressure, or heat and pressure, to the opposing side of the textile fabric in the region of the spot or stain, preferably in the presence of a hydrophilic solvent, or water, so that some or all of the spot or stain is absorbed into the absorbent layer. The detergent composition can be applied to the textile fabric using a container having a cap to which a foam pad is secured. The cap has a small opening through which the detergent composition can pass.

  • Patent number: 6000633
Abstract: The present invention provides a spray nozzle with both desirable aesthetic and functional attributes. The spray nozzle includes a central orifice and a plurality of blind recesses concentrically disposed around the central orifice, as well as an annular channel connecting all of the blind recesses. The recesses and the channel each individually provide desirable aesthetic properties, while in combination they each reduce the likelihood of product residue buildup in the other. The recesses interrupt the smooth walls of the channel to divert liquid product out of the channel before it can dry out.

  • Patent number: 5961508
Abstract: A compound sanitary napkin including a primary absorbent member and a secondary absorbent member. The primary absorbent member has a length and a width. The secondary absorbent member has a length and a width. The primary absorbent member and the secondary absorbent member have a common length. The primary absorbent member includes an absorbent core and a fluid pervious topsheet superposed on the absorbent core. The secondary absorbent member includes a fluid pervious topsheet, a fluid impervious backsheet joined to the topsheet and an absorbent element positioned between the topsheet and the backsheet. The primary absorbent member is affixed to the secondary absorbent member by union means. The primary absorbent member is compressible when subjected to a compressive force exerted about its periphery and is sufficiently resilient such that said primary absorbent member is able to return substantially to its original unstressed configuration once the compressive force is removed.
