Abstract: The method of providing submarine pipeline adapted for connecting and repairing, providing flanges therealong at intervals and means to repair an interval length of pipeline by connecting repair pieces to part of said flanges, including preferred steps of submarine removal of a damaged interval length with surface preparation and subsequent submarine installation of a replacement interval length.
Abstract: A tool is provided for removing concrete from underwater pipes which tool is comprised of a frame or member having two coaxially opposed concrete removal jets mounted thereon, whereby the opposing forces of the two jets cancel out the thrusting effect of one against the other to thereby provide a device which does not require massive rigid equipment to hold the jets or nozzles in place adjacent to the pipe.
Abstract: A system of submarine cranes suited to handling pipe, fittings, tools and machinery on the marine floor, as by divers, and having simple articulate carrying crossbeams with hydraulic motive means and controls, and possible balloon assistance and means to hump and bend, couple, and repair pipelines and machines under water.
