Patent number: 9255404Abstract: Methods directed to a producing precast pervious concrete panels. Each pervious concrete panel has a plurality of layers of concrete mixture, wherein the aggregate used in each layer may be a different size and each layer is compacted after being laid. The method may further include providing a slip-former machine or an extruder machine to lay the layers of pervious concrete mixture.Type: GrantFiled: March 13, 2015Date of Patent: February 9, 2016Assignee: The Spancrete Group, Inc.Inventors: Daniel J. Publication number: 20150184384Abstract: Systems and methods directed to a precast pervious concrete panel. Each pervious concrete panel has a plurality of layers of concrete mixture, wherein the aggregate used in each layer may be a different size. The panels have slots at predetermined locations allowing installation of a joint connector; either dry or with a bonding material thereby allowing connection of multiple panels into a solid slab. Multiple pervious concrete panels can be combined with a collection system allowing collection/reuse of water passing through the panels. Precast pervious concrete panels can be used as inserts in ready mix or cast in place concrete frames allowing for easy replacement of the pieces.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 13, 2015Publication date: July 2, 2015Applicant: THE SPANCRETE GROUP, INC.Inventors: Daniel J. Willems, JOHN NAGY, ALAN ANTONIEWICZ, PAUL STAROSZCZYK, NICHOLAS PASSINT

Publication number: 20140284844Abstract: A precast pervious concrete panel is formed in a containment vessel under controlled conditions and allowed to reach an acceptable strength before removal from the containment vessel, thereby producing standard sizes or shapes for installation in the field. Each piece of pervious concrete may include slots cut into the piece at predetermined locations allowing installation of a joint connector; either dry or with a bonding material thereby allowing connection of multiple pieces into a solid slab. A strip material may be used under the slab joints to dissipate load bearing and allow the panels to slide together when picked up by the embedded lifting device. Multiple pervious concrete pieces can be combined with a collection system allowing collection/reuse of water passing through the panels. Precast pervious concrete panels can be used as inserts in ready mix or cast in place concrete frames allowing for easy replacement of the pieces.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 5, 2014Publication date: September 25, 2014Applicant: THE SPANCRETE GROUP, INC.Inventors: Daniel J. Patent number: 8763317Abstract: A concrete roof panel for constructing a peaked concrete roof on a building has a first planar member coupled to a second planar member at an angle other than 180 degrees. The roof panel includes at least one rib member coupled to the inside surface of the roof panel. The roof panel includes a flattened attachment portion at either end thereof for connecting the roof panel to a side wall of a building.Type: GrantFiled: December 31, 2008Date of Patent: July 1, 2014Assignee: The Spancrete Group, Inc.Inventor: Clinton C. Patent number: 8490363Abstract: A modular concrete building is made of a plurality of precast concrete panels which may be assembled to provide a building. The panel sections include lower frame panels or support members, wall panels, floor panels, and flat roof panels. The building may be assembled by securing the floor panels to the support members, securing the wall panels to the floor panels, and securing the roof panels to the wall panels and to adjacent roof panels. The roof panels may have rigid insulation. The roof panels may have tapered rigid insulation or the modular building may be constructed with the roof panels in a tilted position.Type: GrantFiled: March 13, 2012Date of Patent: July 23, 2013Assignee: The Spancrete Group, Inc.Inventors: John R. Nagy, Clinton C. Krell

Patent number: 8397467Abstract: Methods and apparatus for coupling adjacent concrete panels increase the tolerance for setting. Connections members are placed in at least one of the adjacent concrete panels. In one embodiment a first connection member is placed in a first panel and a second connection member is placed in a second panel. A plate is placed over the first and second connection member. Fasteners are inserted through the plate and into each connection member to secure the adjacent panels together. In a second embodiment a rotatable connection member is placed in a first panel. The rotatable connection member includes a first rod rotatably coupled to a second rod. The second panel is placed on the first panel. The connection member is rotated from its first position to its second position and is secured to the second panel. The connection members may be cast in the panels during production.Type: GrantFiled: December 31, 2008Date of Patent: March 19, 2013Assignee: The Spancrete Group, Inc.Inventor: Clinton C. Krell
