Abstract: A container assembly that includes a first container, a second container and a latch arrangement movable between a latched position and an unlatched position is provided. The first container has a first container portion having a first opening into a first interior space in which articles to be transported can be stored and a first cover for closing the first opening. The second container has a second container portion having a second opening into a second interior space in which articles to be transported can be stored and a second cover for closing the second opening. The latch arrangement, when in the latched position, is constructed and arranged to connect the first container portion to the second container portion. The latch arrangement is positioned and configured such that when it connects the first container portion to the second container portion, the first opening and the second opening face opposite directions.

Abstract: A strap pipe wrench for driving an object having a generally cylindrical shape includes a handle which extends along a longitudinal axis, a connecting member which is movable relative to the handle in a direction parallel to the longitudinal axis, and a strap formed in a loop and having two opposing end portions which cooperate with two zones integral with the handle when the strap surrounds the object tightly, the two opposing end portions of the strap being attached to the connecting member, a displacement device for displacing said connecting member, and enabling the size of the loop of the strap to be adjusted and the strap to be tensioned when it surrounds the object tightly, and a shoe disposed between the two zones for abutment on the object, the shoe having an abutment face of generally arcuate shape.

Abstract: A container having a container portion defining a space for storing tools and a lid portion pivotally connected to the container portion. The lid portion is pivotally movable between open and closed positions. The container also has a latch assembly carried by the lid portion and latches the lid portion in the closed position. The latch assembly includes a single latch handle carried by the lid portion, a latch comprising spaced latch portions, the spaced latch portions being moveable together between a latched position and a released position, the latch portions respectively being on opposite sides of the latch handle. The latch portions are engageable with latch engaging portions of the container portion. A spring biases the spaced latch portions toward the latched position. The latch handle can be moved to effect movement of the latch portions from the latched position to the released position.

Abstract: The invention provides an automatic latch having a first latch member and a second latch member. The first latch member may include an opening and a cam structure. The second latch member may include a pivoted structure that includes a protrusion and a cam surface. The second latch member may also include a spring having first and second spring portions. As the cam structure is advanced towards the cam surface of the pivoted structure such that the cam structure passes over the protrusion of the pivoted structure, the first spring portion applies a bias causing the protrusion to protrude through the opening of the first latch member when the cam structure clears the protrusion. Thus, the latch is placed in a locked configuration. When in the locked configuration, the second spring portion applies a bias that tends to separate the first latch member from the second latch member, so that the latch may spring apart when intentionally unlocked.

The lid is moveable relative to the container portion between an opened and closed position. The container also includes a latch arrangement that is constructed to secure the lid in covering relation with respect to the container portion and a hinge structure that is constructed to enable the lid to pivot relative to the container portion. The container includes a support that engages a surface on which a bottom surface rests when the lid is in the opened position, so as to support the lid in the open position. The support is positioned proximate to the container portion when the lid is in the closed position and movable to an extended position when the lid is in the open position.

Abstract: A storage container has a container body with an upwardly facing opening and a lid connected to the container body that is pivotally movable between open and closed positions. At least one latch is provided at each of the front side, left side, and right side of the container body to secure the lid to the container body. A seal structure is disposed at an interface between the lid and an upper portion of the container. The seal structure generally surrounds the upwardly facing opening and is compressed when the lid is latched in the closed position by the latches. The container body may also include a plurality of compartments each with upper edges defining an upwardly facing opening. The upper edges can be positioned to engage an inner surface of the lid when the lid is in the closed position so that the lid closes off the compartments.

The at least one compartment is configurable between an open configuration and a closed configuration. The plurality of extendable legs support the container at a selected height. The lock assembly locks the legs and hence the container at the selected height.

Abstract: According to the invention, a tool for assembling and disassembling an elastic collar includes first and second jaws mobile relative to each other. The first and second jaws respectively include first gripping profiles, the first gripping profiles being adapted to interact with the elastic collar and being provided opposite each other along a first predetermined and general collar-gripping orientation relative to the jaws. The first and second jaws respectively include at least second gripping profiles, the second gripping profiles being provided opposite each other and being adapted to interact with the elastic collar along a second predetermined general gripping orientation relative to the jaws, the second orientation being different from the first orientation.

Abstract: A tool bag for transporting a plurality of tools and for positioning over construction apparatus is provided. The tool bag includes a first storage section and a second storage section, at least a flexible cover and a handle. The first and the second storage sections are pivotally connected to each other so as to generally define an upper hinge region. The first and second storage sections are separable so that they can be disposed on opposite sides of the construction apparatus, and being movable into close proximity with one another to enable the tool bag to be carried in a more compact configuration. The flexible cover is constructed and arranged to cover the associated compartments of the storage section. The upper portions of the cover are constructed and arranged to be removed from covering relation while lower portions of the cover remain attached, thereby exposing the compartments.
