Abstract: An exercise system with positioning markings for aiding in identifying proper positioning of the body while performing a wide range of exercises. The exercise system with positioning markings generally includes a carriage slidably secured between a pair of rails. A first platform may be positioned at a first end of the exercise machine and a second platform may be positioned at a second end of the exercise machine. One or more handle assemblies may also be provided for use in various exercises. A longitudinal carriage marking extends between the first and second ends of the carriage and a plurality of cross carriage markings extend perpendicular to the longitudinal carriage marking to ease identification of different points and areas on the carriage during exercise. Platform markings and handle markings may also be included. Reference characters may also be positioned on or around the various markings to aid in identifying their locations.

Abstract: A Pilates machine tension device support system for efficiently providing a tension force to a movable platform of an exercise machine. The Pilates machine tension device support system generally includes a frame, a platform movably positioned upon the frame and a tension assembly connected between the frame and the platform to provide selective tension upon the platform in a first direction. The tension assembly is comprised of a plurality of pulleys and a plurality of tension devices positioned upon the pulleys, wherein the tension devices are attached between a frame and the platform. The tension members are selectively engaged to the platform to increase or decrease the tension applied to the platform for varying levels of workouts.

Abstract: An exercise machine tension system for improving functionality and linear resistance of a Pilates machine. The exercise machine tension system generally includes an exercise machine including a carriage slidably positioned thereon. A plurality of tension units are connected between the exercise machine and the carriage for creating linear resistance as the carriage is drawn in a first direction and reverting the carriage back to its original position absent application of force. Each tension unit includes a housing, a reel rotatably positioned within the housing, a torsion spring secured to the reel, and a flexible member wound around the reel and extending out of the housing. The housing is secured to the exercise machine and the distal end of the flexible member is secured to the carriage.
