  • Patent number: 9477638
Abstract: Apparatus and related methods are provided for automatically recalibrating a SAW scale for changing environmental factors. During a period of time when there is no change to a weight applied to the scale, readings of SAW transducers which relate to weight indications and environmental factor indications are taken for two adjacent operating modes of the scale, and two calibrated weight calculations are made utilizing those readings. The difference in calibrated weight calculations is then related to a variable utilized to transform the readings into weights, which is updated, thereby recalibrating the scale.

  • Patent number: 9479385
Abstract: A system to collect and store in a special data structure arranged for rapid searching massive amounts of data. Performance metric data is one example. The performance metric data is recorded in time-series measurements, converted into unicode, and arranged into a special data structure having one directory for every day which stores all the metric data collected that day. The data structure at the server where analysis is done has a subdirectory for every resource type. Each subdirectory contains text files of performance metric data values measured for attributes in a group of attributes to which said text file is dedicated. Each attribute has its own section and the performance metric data values are recorded in time series as unicode hex numbers as a comma delimited list. Analysis of the performance metric data is done using regular expressions.

Abstract: An integrated adjustable keeper shim for en electric strike is provided. The keeper shim may be included in a keeper assembly of the electric strike, wherein the electric strike includes a housing defining an entry chamber that operates in conjunction with a latch of a lockset. The engaged position of the latch secures a door within the entry chamber when the door is in a closed state. The keeper assembly comprises a keeper rotatably mounted to the housing, and is movable between a locked position and an unlocked position. The keeper retains the latch in the entry chamber when the keeper is in the locked position and the latch is in the engaged position. The keeper shim is adjustably mounted to the keeper, wherein a position of the keeper shim relative to the keeper is selected to minimize a gap defined between the keeper shim and the latch.

  • Publication number: 20160305157
Abstract: An actuator-controlled electric strike operates in conjunction with a latch having an engaged position to secure a door in a dosed state and a released position. The strike comprises a housing defining an entry chamber. A keeper is disposed in the entry chamber about an axis for rotation between a locked position and an unlocked position. A unitized actuator module is provided including a body, a keeper release and an actuator movable between first and second positions. When the actuator is in one of the first or second positions the keeper release is coupled to the keeper and the keeper is secured in the locked position. When the actuator is selectively moved to the other of the first or second positions the keeper release is decoupled from the keeper and the keeper is rotatable to the unlocked position.

  • Publication number: 20160307681
Abstract: A power control system for use with an electric lock mechanism having an actuator comprises a power supply to output an output voltage to the actuator. A credential device signals the power supply to output the voltage upon receiving an authorized code. A microcontroller controls the power supply, the credential device, and the actuator and may operate in an Access Mode or a Dog Mode. When in Access Mode, the actuator is unpowered and the credential device is powered until an authorized code is received and the power supply powers the actuator. The Dog Mode has an awake mode where the actuator is powered and the credential device is unpowered after the actuator remains in the powered state for a length of time. A sleep mode has the actuator unpowered and the credential device powered until an authorized code is received and the power supply powers the actuator.

  • Publication number: 20160307683
Abstract: A constant-current controller that supplies a constant current to an inductive load. This controller comprises an electric control circuit module. The electric control circuit module comprises a primary switch and a secondary switch. During a time interval in which the primary switch is closed (ton), the secondary switch is open and the voltage across the inductive load is equal to the source voltage (Vs). At time ton until the end of a time interval (T), zero volts appears across the inductive load. During this interval, current continues to flow as supplied by the energy stored in the inductance. The periodic current in the inductive load becomes constant with a sufficiently large PWM switching frequency and is dependent upon the parameters of the control circuit and the duration of ton.

  • Patent number: 9469488
Abstract: An article conveyor system for conveying a singulated row of articles includes an upstream belt conveyor, a downstream belt conveyor spaced apart from the upstream belt conveyor by an air gap, and an air conveyor bridging the air gap from the upstream belt conveyor to the downstream belt conveyor. The air conveyor receives upright articles from the upstream belt conveyor and conveys them over the air gap to the downstream belt conveyor. Tipped or fallen articles on the upstream belt conveyor are not received by the air conveyor and fall into the air gap, thereby being ejected from the article conveyor system.

  • Patent number: 9473935
Abstract: Secure storage of important/relevant information on a device and/or internet cloud is facilitated, and enables automatic transmission of that important/relevant information when certain user-defined criteria are met, e.g., when 911 is dialed on a corresponding subscriber device. A baseline data collection and maintenance interface enables a subscriber to provision important/relevant information (e.g. medical/emergency information) authorized for transmittal, intended recipients of data (e.g. emergency personnel), and one or more information exchange events (e.g., dialing 911 on a corresponding subscriber device), in to a subscriber information database. A trigger monitoring server monitors a subscriber device for the occurrence of one or more information exchange events defined in an affiliated subscriber information database.
