  • Patent number: 9401880
Abstract: An island-based network flow processor (IB-NFP) integrated circuit includes islands organized in rows. A configurable mesh event bus extends through the islands and is configured to form a local event ring. The configurable mesh event bus is configured with configuration information received via a configurable mesh control bus. The local event ring involves event ring circuits and event ring segments. In one example, a packet is received onto a first island. If an amount of a processing resource (for example, memory buffer space) available to the first island is below a threshold, then an event packet is communicated from the first island to a second island via the local event ring. In response, the second island causes a third island to communicate via a command/push/pull data bus with the first island, thereby increasing the amount of the processing resource available to the first island for handing incoming packets.

  • Patent number: 9400311
Abstract: In order to detect and locate defects, or faults, in a plurality of chips or other circuits sharing a common design, said chips are each tested for incorrect outputs, or failures, in response to inputs. The incorrect outputs are then collectively diagnosed in a single simulation by simulating a series of suspected fault candidates on a simulated chip of the chip design, and afterward comparing the incorrect outputs generated by each fault candidate to the incorrect outputs of the individual chips, to determine if a fault candidate generates all failures for a chip and no others. The test inputs and expected outputs may be predetermined through Automatic Test Pattern Generation. The fault candidates may be determined by use of a backtrace process such as back cone tracing. The failures may be recorded in association with a measure point, the input pattern that resulted in the failure, and the failure value.

  • Patent number: 9398874
Abstract: In a mood analysis method using an electrocardiogram of a user, RR intervals in the electrocardiogram are computed, and low-frequency (LF) values and high-frequency (HF) values are also computed according to the RR intervals. Standard values of sympathetic nervous system (SNS) activity and parasympathetic nervous system (PSNS) activity are acquired corresponding to age and sex data of the user, to establish a mood display coordinate system. Coordinates of the LF values and the HF values in the mood display coordinate system are computed to determine a mood of the user.

  • Patent number: 9400182
Abstract: The accuracy of a reverse geocode for a GPS fix in a mobile phone navigation device is improved significantly by considering together the user's last known location on an original route, the elapsed time between the last known location on the original route and the latest GPS fix, and the likelihood that the user could have traveled from the last known location on the original route to one of numerous candidate locations (generated from the reverse geocode) in the elapsed time. The navigation server relies only on a GPS fix, timestamps, and a back-end routing database to provide improved or superior accuracy of reverse geocoding a GPS fix (selection of a point on a road) when a relevant user has deviated from the intended route. The reverse geocoding allows for accurate and functional re-routing capabilities.

  • Patent number: 9401931
Abstract: A method for dynamically associating, by a server, access rights with a resource includes the step of receiving, by the server, a request for a resource from a client. The server requests, from a policy engine, an identification of a plurality of access rights to associate with the resource, the plurality of access rights identified responsive to an application of a policy to the client. The server associates the resource with the plurality of access rights via a rights markup language. The server transmits the resource to the client with the identification of the associated plurality of access rights. An application program on the client makes an access control decision responsive to the associated plurality of access rights. The application program provides restricted access to the resource responsive to the access control decision.
