Abstract: A method for synchronizing audio signals of a communication device includes determining whether a downlink thread or a uplink thread is running, pausing the downlink thread or the uplink thread, and executing the downlink thread or the uplink thread by directing a scheduler. A system and storage medium with instructions for performance of the system also provided.
Abstract: An underground porosity reservoir includes substantially impermeable barriers and an aquiclude surrounding a volume of alluvial materials for storing water within the pore spaces of the alluvial materials. Upstream and downstream ends of the reservoir define both a static storage portion (extending below an elevation of the downstream end of the reservoir) and an elevated wedge-shaped portion that extends above the static portion. Once the static portion of the reservoir is filled, additional amounts of water are dynamically stored within the wedge portion by removing water from the downstream end of the reservoir and adding water to the upstream end of the reservoir. Water may be recirculated within the wedge portion, or external water may be added to the upstream end of the reservoir at a first flow rate while water is removed from the downstream end of the reservoir at a similar flow rate.
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for providing remote access to two or more application sessions in which authentication information associated with a user is received, a plurality of application sessions already associated with the user are identified in response to the information, and a client computer operated by the user is connected to the plurality of application sessions.
Abstract: A graphical user interface displays performance data related to a communication session between a first computing device and a second computing device. The graphical user interface comprises a first graphical element and a second graphical element. The first graphical element has a number of sections that represent respective physical portions of a connection between the first computing device and the second computing device. Each of the sections displays the performance data of a current session for that respective physical section. The second graphical element displays corresponding performance data for a predetermined number of previous sessions between the first computing device and the second computing device.
Abstract: The present invention provides a modular fluid warmer and a method of stacking a plurality of modular fluid warmers. As each of the modular fluid warmers is independently operated, the modular fluid warmers are energy efficient. Further, each modular fluid warmer may be equipped with sensors and a controller that reduces the required amount of user interaction with the modular fluid warmer.
Abstract: Systems particularly a virtualization switch or a storage device, which include virtual ports connected to virtual devices with virtual worldwide names and virtual LUNs. Because Fibre Channel environment hosts can track worldwide names from one port to another and allow continuity in that regard, the virtual worldwide names are provided with relevant virtual LUNs and connected these to virtual ports so that the virtual devices can be moved as desired to overcome failures or to allow load balancing.

Abstract: Disclosed is an approach for performing pattern classification for electronic designs. One advantage of this approach is that it can use fast pattern matching techniques to classify both patterns and markers based on geometric similarity. In this way, the large number of markers and hotspots that typically are identified within an electronic design can be subsumed and compressed into a much smaller set of pattern families. This significantly reduced the number of patterns that must be individually analyzed, which considerably reduces the quantity of system resources and time needed to analyze and verify a circuit design.

Abstract: A chip card holder, for securing a chip card in an electronic device, includes a housing, an elastic member and a strip member. The housing defines a receiving chamber. The elastic member is secured in the receiving chamber and has an elastic foldable resisting section. The strip member connects with the resisting section and an end of the strip exposes from the receiving chamber. A chip card is assembled in the receiving chamber, the resisting section of the elastic member resists against the chip card, the resisting section is folded elastically by pulling the strip member and the chip card is withdrawn by the pushing of the resisting section.
Abstract: A tendon deflection system including a shaft, a plurality of tendons movably disposed within the shaft, and a force-balancing element coupled to the tendons. In a first section, the plurality of tendons are arranged around the shaft at equal angles to each other and at an equal distance from the center of the shaft. The tendons operating in concert with the force-balancing element minimize the moment expressed in the first section. The second section is deflectable and includes at least one tendon, extending from the plurality of tendons in the first section, which is arranged along one side of the shaft such that the bending moment expressed in the second section is greater than the first section.
Abstract: Disclosed is a lithium titanate material, which may include an additive, and its use as an electrode in a battery. Specifically disclosed is a lithium titanate based material, with primary particle size larger than 100 nm, having very good high rate charge and discharge capabilities when incorporated into a lithium battery.

Abstract: Various embodiments of the present invention are generally directed to a method, system, and computer program product for implementing direct measurement model with simulation and calibration of manufacturing process model in the manufacturing of precision devices such as electronic integrated circuits. The method and the system determine the measured measurement result and the direct measurement information and compare the direct measurement information against the other to determine whether to adjust the process models and the empirical parameters thereof.
Abstract: A method and apparatus for non-invasively determining the blood oxygenation within a subject's tissue is provided that utilizes a near infrared spectrophotometric (NIRS) sensor capable of transmitting a light signal into the tissue of a subject and sensing the light signal once it has passed through the tissue via transmittance or reflectance.
Abstract: A micro-spray cooling system beneficial for use in testers of electrically stimulated integrated circuit chips is disclosed. The system includes micro-spray heads disposed about a probe head. The spray heads and probe head are disposed in a sealed manner inside a spray chamber that, during operation, is urged in a sealing manner onto a sealing plate holding the integrated circuit under test. The atomized mist cools the integrated circuit and then condenses on the spray chamber wall. The condensed fluid is pumped out of the chamber and is circulated in a chiller, so as to be re-circulated and injected again into the micro-spray heads. The pressure inside the spray chamber may be controlled to provide a desired boiling point.

Abstract: In one embodiment of the invention, an apparatus for scan testing an integrated circuit is provided. The apparatus includes a combinational logic network; and a device for reducing gate switching in the combinational logic network to reduce power consumption during a scan test on the combinational logic network. The device for reducing gate switching in the combinational logic network includes a device for periodically isolating scan data from the combination logic network; and a device for periodically holding functional data coupled into the combinational network substantially steady. In one embodiment of the invention, the device for reducing gate switching in the combinational logic network is a plurality of serially coupled scan registers each having a pair of opposed controlled outputs with one controlled output providing scan output data and another controlled output providing functional data to the combinational logic network.
Abstract: A system provisions an electronic mail (email) account of a user for allowing access to an electronic mailbox from a remote device to retrieve email. A communications module receives email address parameters of the user and transmits a domain name system (DNS) query to the Internet for returning mail exchange (MX) records corresponding to the email address parameters of the user. A configuration module processes any returned MX records as a starting point for determining configuration parameters for accessing the email account of the user to retrieve user email.

The kit further includes a similarly prefabricated drive module (30) having an electric motor (32), the drive module being connectable to the retractor frame (4) in a rotationally fixed manner. Force-transmission elements are provided on the drive module (30) and on the seat belt retractor (1) that are to be connected to each other to transmit the torque from the electric motor (32) to the winding shaft (2) when the seat belt retractor (1) and drive module (30) are assembled. An assembled device for restraining a vehicle occupant and having the components of the kit is also disclosed.
Abstract: A video tape indexing system in which program broadcast identification information is entered into the system for use in recording the program. When the program is recorded, the system stores indexing information in an index memory. The system monitors a broadcast channel for electronic program guide information that includes titles and usually channel, date, time and length for the titles. The system matches the channel, date, time and length information from the broadcast channel with the identification information entered for the program to be recorded. The title in the broadcast channel associated with the channel, date, time and length information is then associated with the indexing information for the program.
