Patent number: 11922299Abstract: A computer processor includes an on-chip network and a plurality of tiles. Each tile includes an input circuit to receive a voltage signal from the network, and a crossbar array, including at least one neuron. The neuron includes first and second bit lines, a programmable resistor connecting the voltage signal to the first bit line, and a comparator to receive inputs from the two bit lines and to output a voltage, when a bypass condition is not active. Each tile includes a programming circuit to set a resistance value of the resistor, a pass-through circuit to provide the voltage signal to an input circuit of a first additional tile, when a pass-through condition is active, a bypass circuit to provide values of the bit lines to a second additional tile, when the bypass condition is active; and at least one output circuit to provide an output signal to the network.Type: GrantFiled: April 3, 2023Date of Patent: March 5, 2024Assignee: The Government of the United States as represented by the Director, National Security AgencyInventor: David J. Mountain

Patent number: 10445478Abstract: A multi-user access control device provides controlled access to a sensitive system by enabling/disabling an input/output port in communication with said sensitive system. Tokens are held by users and provide for confirmation of group membership and authentication. Upon authentication of the users, an enable signal is provided to a relay providing power to an external port. The external port may provide power to an input/output device allowing the user to interact with the sensitive system. The external port may provide power to a network port of the access control device allowing for management of the access control device or allowing for auditing of the access control device.Type: GrantFiled: August 15, 2017Date of Patent: October 15, 2019Assignee: Government of the United States, as represented by Director, National Security AgencyInventors: Daniel M. Barrick, Raul Grajales, III, Brian S. McGarvey, Mark S. Sitzwohl, William Paul F. Wright

Publication number: 20170289771Abstract: The present invention provides an improved method of pedestrian dead reckoning (PDR) and device for performing PDR. An image of the environment to be traversed by the pedestrian is used to define states associated with the PDR environment. The image is utilized to constrain error in the estimated location of the pedestrian. Pairs of states are identified and the characteristics of the defined states are utilized to define the probabilities of transitioning between states of the pair. Possible pedestrian events which may be observed are also defined and for each pair of states, the possibility of detecting an event given the state transition is determined. After detecting a series of events, the transition probabilities and the event probabilities are utilized to determine a state probability that the pedestrian is in a particular state at each particular time. Utilizing these state probabilities an estimated location is provided at each time.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 29, 2016Publication date: October 5, 2017Applicant: The Government of the United States as represented by the Director, National Security AgencyInventor: Aaron D.
