    Abstract: Synchronous rectification methods and algorithms, and polarity sensing techniques, based on the homopolarity cycle concept for conduction loss reduction in LLC resonant converters are provided. In a half bridge rectifier configuration, one of rectifier switches is switched ON when the polarity of the inverter and rectifier voltages are both positive and the other rectifier switch is switched ON when both polarities are negative.
