Abstract: A cured concrete and stone bore working tool and method of forming radially oriented discontinuities in a bore or perforation formed in a cured concrete or stone material such that, after use or application of the tool, the perforation formed in the cured concrete or stone material is configured to provide a non-planar adhesive interface and isolate a properly sized anchor or fastener from direct contact with the wall of the bore. Fasteners or anchors adhesively secured in bores previously treated with the bore treating tool exhibit improved creep failure performance as compared to fasteners adhesively secured to untreated bores.

Abstract: A dust collection assembly for a computer numerical control (CNC) cutting machine includes an adapter configured to couple to an arm of the CNC cutting machine and a head telescopically coupled to the adapter by a plurality of nested members. The CNC cutting machine includes the arm supporting a spindle and a tool holder coupled for co-rotation with the spindle. Each of the plurality of nested members are collapsible relative to each other. The head is movable between an extended position in which the nested members are configured to surround the tool holder and a tool bit, and a retracted position in which at least some of the nested members are telescopically received in the adapter. The head defines an inlet fluidly connected to the plurality of nested members when the head is at least in the extended position. The inlet is configured to fluidly connect to a vacuum.

Abstract: A coating composition comprises a functionalized epoxy resin and a fluoroalkyl-modified particle, such as activated carbon or silica. The functionalized epoxy resin is a ternary polymer composition comprising one or more epoxy resin moieties linked to a polyethylene backbone through an oxygen atom, fluoroalkyl(poly)propionyl groups being grafted to the polyethylene backbone. The coating compositions have superhydrophobic properties useful for self-cleaning surfaces and bubble release from sensors.

The panel is movable along a predetermined path relative to the first surface and the second surface. A first pin and a second pin are coupled to the panel. A first bottom face plate is positioned on a first side and defines a first slot. A second bottom face plate is positioned on a second side and defines a second slot. A first top face plate is positioned on the first side and defines a third slot. A second top face plate is positioned on the second side and defines a fourth slot. The first pin is movable in the first slot and the second slot, and the second pin is movable in the third slot and the fourth slot for guiding movement of the panel along the predetermined path.
Abstract: The present invention relates to methods of using cell-free DNA analysis for guiding treatment of advanced prostate cancer. In particular, liquid biopsies are collected from urine and/or plasma of patients for measuring copy number variation in cell-free DNA associated with metastatic prostate cancer. In particular, urine genomic abnormality (UGA) and plasma genomic abnormality (PGA) values are contemplated for use in predicting treatment responses in advanced prostate cancer patients and for use in making decisions related to androgen deprivation therapy (ADT) treatment outcomes in hormone sensitive stage and for starting or changing chemotherapy treatments in castrate resistant advanced cancer stage.

Abstract: This invention relates to a system that adaptively compensates for subject motion in real-time in an imaging system. An object orientation marker (30), preferably a retro-grate reflector (RGR), is placed on the head or other body organ of interest of a patient (P) during a scan, such as an MRI scan. The marker (30) makes it possible to measure the six degrees of freedom (x, y, and z-translations, and pitch, yaw, and roll), or “pose”, required to track motion of the organ of interest. A detector, preferably a camera (40), observes the marker (30) and continuously extracts its pose. The pose from the camera (40) is sent to the scanner (120) via an RGR processing computer (50) and a scanner control and processing computer (100), allowing for continuous correction of scan planes and position (in real-time) for motion of the patient (P).

Abstract: This disclosure discloses a method of creating a three-dimensional image of a sample using snapshot optical tomography. The method includes generating a plurality of beams incident on the sample simultaneously, acquiring a field image at a plane not conjugate to the sample plane using off-axis digital holography, extracting amplitude data and phase data for the field image, restoring the sharpness by backpropagating the field image using the extracted amplitude and phase data, acquiring a background image, extracting amplitude data and phase data for the background image, and reconstructing a three-dimensional image of the sample with the backpropagated field image and the background image. The method also includes arranging more than one imaging chains to remove the missing angle artefacts in optical tomography. Also disclosed are systems for performing the method.
