  • Patent number: 11505953
Abstract: A conduit guide for a concrete beam construction that enables an MEP line to pass through the concrete beam includes a body defining a through passage, a securement panel in the passage, and a pair of sealing flanges on open ends of the body. The securement panel enables securement and/or alignment of an MEP line extending through the passage.

  • Patent number: 10567745
Abstract: A head mount display for use with a virtual reality system allows for an automatic adjustment of an inter-lens distance based on a particular user's inter-pupillary distance (IPD). The IPD for the user is measured, for example by taking an image of the user in a controlled environment and calculating the distance between the user's pupils within the image. Once the IPD is known, a desired inter-lens distance for the particular user may be defined based on user IPD. A computing device in communication with a head mount display unit may automatically adjust the inter-lens distance to match the desired inter-lens distance. A user's IPD and desired inter-lens distance may be stored for the user in a user account. As such, whenever the user participates in the virtual reality system, a head mount display used by the user may be configured with the user's desired inter-lens distance.

  • Publication number: 20170285733
Abstract: The flow of teams of one or more players is controlled through different geographical areas of a mixed virtual reality and physical experience that takes place on an attraction stage. The geographical areas may include rooms, compartments, or other geographical areas through which a team may progress. Within each geographical area, a team may engage in an experience and accomplish one or more checkpoints. Based on the time to achieve each checkpoint, the experience may be shortened or lengthened, either within the particular geographical area or the experience as a whole, to control the flow of the particular team through the series of geographical areas.

  • Publication number: 20170262020
Abstract: A system that provides a head mount display (HMD) unit that provides visual content, such as video, through a projection system incorporated within the head mount display unit. The projection system is positioned near a user's eye within the HMD and provides a visual experience that is higher resolution, has a higher refresh rate, runs cooler, requires less power, and provides a broader field of view than typical HMD units, such as an HMD which utilizes a curved display screen.

  • Publication number: 20170232336
Abstract: A lens assembly, related methods and constituent optical elements are described. The assembly may be used to direct and focus light for various applications. In one instance, the lens assembly is used in conjunction with one or more sources of light such as projected images or video as part of a virtual reality system. The lens assembly includes two or more optical elements arranged to receive light or direct light through different spatial regions of the assembly at different focal powers corresponding to a first user viewing zone and a second user viewing zone. In one instance, the first user viewing zone is a peripheral viewing zone and the second viewing zone is a primary or non-peripheral viewing zone (or vice versa).

  • Publication number: 20160316336
Abstract: A positional tracking system used in a virtual reality environment in which multiple users may freely and unrestrictedly explore an environment without affecting position tracking. Receivers mounted to the user in several locations may be accurately tracked regardless of the position of the user and other users in the system. A plurality of transmitters may transmit wide band signals to one or more receivers on a user. Each receiver may receive the wide band signals from the plurality of transmitters, process those signals, and determine a receiver location based on the received signals. The signals themselves may be wide band signals, for example in the range of 3 GHz to 10 GHz. The wide band signals may include identifier information and a pulse for determining a time-of-flight between the transmitter and receiver.

  • Publication number: 20160300395
Abstract: A combined physical and virtual environment in which a user's position in a physical environment is displayed in an offset position within the virtual environment. The offset is determined based on mapping between the physical environment and the virtual environment and offsets generated for a user position and direction as a user moves throughout the physical environment. The physical environment and corresponding virtual environment may have a different layout. The offsets are used to correlate portions of the physical environment and virtual environments together so that a user does not realize the differences between the environments. By providing offsets in this manner, an enclosed physical environment may be used to provide an expanded and unlimited virtual environment for user to navigate and explore.
