    Abstract: A garment including a pants leg having a convertible cuff at the end of the leg, the convertible cuff including bottom and top pieces of cloth material sewn together at their sides along two seams, the bottom piece having a folded-over heel portion with two folds spaced from an end thereof to provide three flat layers of overlapping cloth when not extended, whereby the convertible cuff can be neatly folded up to provide the appearance of a conventional cuff or can be unfolded and extended to provide a foot covering bent at the top piece and generally transverse to the remainder of the pants leg with the heel portion extending around the heel and providing a good fit over the heel.

    Abstract: A garment for infants, and a method and blank for making it. The garment provides a neck opening and a placket extending longitudinally from the neck opening. At least a major portion of the garment comprises a single fabric piece, comprising a lower body portion and a shoulder/arm portion, which are integral with one another through the back of the garment. The shoulder/arm portion is integral and seamless over each shoulder; right and left under-sleeve seams partially close the shoulder/arm portion to form right and left sleeve tubes. The lower body portion is integral and seamless between the margins of the placket around the garment. The garment has left and right median seams each joining the shoulder/arm portion and the lower body portion between an under-sleeve seam and the adjacent placket margin.

    Abstract: Polyester textile materials having improved flammability characteristics even after repeated washings are made by applying thereto an aqueous solution or organic solvent solution containing at least 0.5% by weight of a material having the structure ##STR1## or mixtures thereof, and drying to deposit thereon from 0.5 to 15% of the material by weight. Fabrics, including both 100% polyester fibers and blends with up to 50% by weight of cellulose triacetate fibers containing fire retardant within the fibers, printed with colored designs using conventional pigment colors free from fire retardants also have their flammability characteristics improved by such treatment.
