    Abstract: A multi-positional bed comprises at one end thereof a pair of pillars. One of the pillars is disposed at or near each side of the bed and at the opposite end a single pillar is disposed substantially on the longitudinal center line of the bed. The bed has a user-supporting frame, and respective mounting devices for mounting the frame to each of the pillars. Each mounting device is arranged to move lengthwise with respect to the respective pillar independently of the movement of the other mounting devices.
