Patents Assigned to ThermoGear, Inc.
  • Patent number: 7959658
Abstract: A medical, electrically powered thermal cover for fitting predominantly the trunk and head of a person experiencing or potentially experiencing traumatic or cold-exposure hypothermia. The thermal cover encases all of the torso and neck, and portions of other body areas. Heating may be distinctly non-uniform, being applied to the body surface only in special regions where the body's capacity for heat uptake may be relatively high. In sum, the system may monitor deep body core temperature, direct heat to the body core where it may be most needed, and controls therapy over time to restore normothermia.

  • Publication number: 20090282908
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide an electrifiable fabric made up of conductive fibers and non-conductive fibers. Garments may be created with the electrifiable fabric. Electricity may be applied to the electrifiable fabric, where the ratio of non-conductive fibers to conductive fibers provides an electrical resistance to thereby generate heat.

  • Patent number: 7319207
Abstract: A heating assembly, is disclosed which includes a blanket portion and a control apparatus for electrically heating the blanket portion. The control apparatus generates direct current power of desired wave form to enable the assembly to be used for warming patients without interference of medical equipment as may be used in the process of a surgery. Alternate power sources include battery power and alternating current power transformed by a transformer into direct current power.
