A seal is arranged on the first end and/or on the second end, where the first end of an installation kit that is to be connected is sealed relative to the second end, and a sealing element that seals the respective end relative to the pin or the box is arranged on the peripheral surface of each end.

Abstract: In a method for determination of properties of cuttings from rock drilling the cuttings are crushed between at least two rollers, at least one roller being driven by a motor. A mechanic specific energy of the cuttings is determined by measuring the energy applied by the motor.

Abstract: A device for transmitting data and/or power from a rotating part, for example a pipe handler, to a non-rotating part, for example a top drive, of a drilling rig or a workover rig has at least one slip ring with at least one sliding contact in contact therewith. Abstract: A drill pipe, particularly for a drill string, having an outer and an inner pipe (3), a female connector (4) with an internal thread at one end of the drill pipe (1), and a male connector (5) with an external thread at the end opposite from the female connector (4), wherein the inner pipe (3) is arranged substantially concentrically in the outer pipe (2) and the drill pipe (1) has a center region (8) with an internal diameter. The outer pipe (2) has an inwardly thickened wall portion at an end region (7) on the male connector side, having a smaller internal diameter than the internal diameter of the center region (8), and the internal diameter of the outer pipe (2) remains substantially the same at an end region (6) on the female connector side in relation to the internal diameter of the center region (8).

Abstract: A device for connecting at least one electrical data and/or supply line to electrical sockets of a wired drill pipe is disclosed. One inventive aspect of the device comprises: a collet blocking plug axially insertable into and removable from a receiver end of the drill pipe and at least one collet. The collet is configured to be interlocked with the drill pipe in a locking position and be released from the drill pipe in a release position. The collet is axially displaceable from the collet blocking plug between the locking position and the release position. The collet blocking plug is axially insertable into and removable from a receiver end of the drill pipe.
