Abstract: An eyewear system may be eyeglasses and a case, the eyeglasses may be a first lens, a second lens, and a bendable bridge disposed between the first lens and second lens, the bendable bridge may be a spring providing a spring force when the bridge is bent from a rest position, the eyeglasses being adapted to move from a wearable configuration in which the bendable bridge is in a rest position and the first lens and second lens are in a first configuration to a stored configuration in which the first and second lenses are moved towards one another relative to the first configuration, the bendable bridge being bent from its rest position in the stored configuration, the case may be a door and an opening through which the eyeglasses pass during insertion and guides sized and configured with respect to the eyeglasses to engage and move the first lens towards the second lens against spring force of the bridge to the stored configuration during insertion of the eyeglasses and closing of the door, wherein the case ma
Abstract: Embodiments of eyeglasses are provided. The glasses comprise a frame comprising a first and second lens connected by a bridge. Temple pieces extend from either side of the frame. The hinge or hinge point between the temple pieces and the frame can be within the plane of the glasses allowing the temple pieces to fold flat or near flat against the frame. The thickness of the glasses can be less than about 3.5 mm (e.g., 2.6 mm) in a folded configuration.
Abstract: Embodiments of thin eyeglasses are provided. The eyeglasses comprise first and second lens connected by a resilient bridge. The eyeglasses comprise a first and second ear piece connected to the first and second lens by a first and second hinge. One lens can be rotated about the hinge and over the other lens to place the eyeglasses in a compact configuration.
