Abstract: In a name confirmation system for supporting transmission of email to a correct address through a network, a system for checking and correcting email addresses comprises: an email address extractor for extracting an email list from various media's data formats; an email address checker for separating a host name from the extracted email list, searching a mail server of the corresponding host name, and performing access; and an email address corrector for receiving email address data that are not activated from the email address checker, and automatically and temporarily modifying the email address data.
