  • Patent number: 11162413
Abstract: The two-stroke internal combustion engine has an engine crankcase including a sealing mechanism that, at all times and under all circumstances, confine the oil in the lower crankcase. The two-stroke engine uses a gaseous fuel based on dihydrogen and dioxygen, and releases only water vapor charged with unused gaseous fuel. A device for recycling the exhaust gases serves to recover the unused gaseous fuel and to reinject it at the intake opening, or the exhaust opening.

  • Publication number: 20130335139
Abstract: An isolator circuit (25) for a unit of a safety system (10) includes a power control line (14) connectable to a first loop of a safety system and a power connection (16) connectable to a second loop of the safety system. A switch (26) is connected to the power control line (14), and the switch has a closed configuration and an open configuration. A controller (28) controls the configuration of the switch (26). If a voltage across the circuit (10) from the power connection (16) to the power control line (14) falls below a predetermined level, the controller (28) opens the switch (26), thereby causing a disconnection to occur in the first loop.

  • Publication number: 20130085322
Abstract: A method for synchronizing ovulation in sows and gilts by a single injection of hormones is disclosed. A hormone, gonadotropin releasing hormone (GnRH), luteinizing hormone (LH), follicle stimulating hormone (Fail human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG), analogues, derivatives, agonists or combinations thereof is administered to an open sow post weaning at a specific time to stimulate ovulation of mature responsive follicles. The sow is then bred, without heat detection, at a specific subsequent timed interval after injection with hormone, with one or two artificial or natural breedings. In gilts, the hormone is injected at a timed interval from onset of estrus or at a specific timed interval following Prostaglandin F2a for those gilts which have been held in a state of pseudopregnancy.

  • Patent number: 4917436
Abstract: A picnic table having attached bench seats around the periphery thereof with one segment of the bench seat being removable to enable access to the periphery of the table by a person occupying a wheelchair or a conventional chair. The picnic table surface is provided with an extension in the access area to extend the edge of the table radially outwardly to render it more accessible to a person occupying a wheelchair or chair. The bench seat component along a portion of the periphery of the chair is attached by bracket structures which enable it to be removed as a unit and stored in a convenient location to enable the wheelchair or chair to be inserted between the end portions of the bench seats that define an open area around the periphery of the table with the extension on the table surface being aligned with the open space defined by removal of the segment of the bench seat.

  • Patent number: 4622257
Abstract: A floor tile having a non-skid surface and a method of forming same that includes a base member formed from a fiber/cement mixture that is fireproof, waterproof and will not corrode, wherein at least one surface of the base member is coated with a first layer of bonding material that is impregnated with a selective size of grit particles, and is then covered with a second layer of bonding material to fixedly secure the grit particles within the first bonding layer, the grit particles having a size greater than the thickness of the first bonding layer so as to protrude therefrom.

  • Patent number: 4559894
Abstract: A fiber-cement/plywood surface providing a preformed surface material for flooring, decking, walkways and roadways, more particularly for use with marine dock structures. The structure is formed by applying a coating of a polyester or epoxy resin over one surface of a sheet of plywood substructure so as to seal the substructure as the resin hardens, and also coating one surface of a fiber-cement sheet with a polyester or epoxy resin and allowing it to harden. A bonding agent, which comprises a catalyzed polyester or epoxy resin mixed with a thickening agent such as mill fibers or finely chopped fiberglass strands, is applied between the two facing resin surfaces of the respective plywood sheet and the fiber-cement sheet, whereby the two sheets are bonded together so as to form a single, somewhat-resilient, weatherproof and wear-resistant structure or panel. An alternative arrangement is also provided wherein the substructure is a thick plastic foam core encased in a fiberglass and polyester resin.

  • Patent number: 4555292
Abstract: The present invention defines two methods of forming a non-skid-surfaced wood panel, preferably plywood, which is treated with various coats or layers of epoxy resin, together with a finished surface coat of polyurethane combined with a hard-grit abrasive material evenly spread within the surface coat, so as to provide the non-skid substance that establishes a unique and wear-resistant structure for areas subjected to heavy foot traffic, the invention being particularly suitable for use on decking in marine environments.
