  • Publication number: 20070057874
Abstract: The invention relates to an active-matrix image display device that comprises an array of light emitters. Each light emitter is controlled by a current modulator having a particular trip threshold voltage. The device also includes compensation means for compensating for the trip threshold voltage of the modulators. These compensation means comprise at least one operational amplifier connected between the gate electrode and the source electrode of the modulator. The feedback of this operational amplifier compensates for the trip threshold voltage of at least one modulator whatever the value of the said voltage.

  • Publication number: 20070058372
Abstract: The invention relates to an illumination system for combining two light beams. A prism bounded by two entrance faces that form a dihedron. An integrator is coupled to an exit face of the prism. Each beam penetrates the prism via one of the entrance faces and is reflected by internal reflection on the other entrance face toward the exit face. These beams are substantially focused onto the entrance face of the integrator in such a way that the latter delivers an almost uniform exit beam. Applications: Projection and backprojection apparatus.

  • Publication number: 20070058731
Abstract: A digital radio frequency (RF) transceiver circuit comprises circuitry that is adapted to select between a transmitter input signal (148) and a receiver input signal. A plurality of filters are adapted to receive either the transmitter input signal or the receiver input signal and to produce either a filtered transmitter signal or a filtered receiver signal. Circuitry alternatively receives the filtered transmitter signal or the filtered receiver signal and produces a modulated output and a demodulated output.

  • Patent number: 7167820
Abstract: A receiver/decoder (for example for digital television) normally receives and/or decodes transmitted data in a normal transmitted signal. In order to test an application running on the receiver/decoder, a special test signal could be generated, or a normal signal could be modified before supply to the receiver/decoder. However, this is costly and complex. To overcome these problems, the receiver/decoder simulates the reception of such transmitted data to produce simulated data; and the application to be tested processes such simulated data in addition to, or instead of, such transmitted data. Simulation may involve generating the simulated data in the receiver/decoder, or controlling the generation of the simulated data by a workstation and receiving the simulated data from the workstation. Data generation may employ a model of the transmitted signal, the model having various parameters which can be varied.

  • Publication number: 20070007873
Abstract: Cathode ray tube with colour selection mask comprising a frame designed to hold the mask at a distance from the screen, the said frame of a noticeably rectangular shape has a pair of short parallel sides of a noticeably L-shaped cross-section with a lateral flank extending in a direction parallel to the longitudinal axis connected to a flange noticeably perpendicular to the said longitudinal axis, the width of the flange of each short side is lower in the middle of the side than at its extremities such that the inner edge of the flange defines a curve whose concavity is oriented toward the longitudinal axis of the tube. This frame structure improves the thermal behaviour of the frame/mask assembly and reduces the weight of the materials for producing the frame while maintaining a sufficient mechanical rigidity.

  • Publication number: 20070008937
Abstract: A method for de-authenticating a client device from a network based on a credit based access control is disclosed. The method comprises receiving by an access point (AP) in the network a user request for user access from the client device according to an authentication protocol and transmitting by the AP an access request to an authentication server in response to the user request. The AP receives an access response from the authentication server authenticating the user access for the client device, where the access response contains a parameter having a value indicative of the length of available continued access of the client device to the network based on remaining user credit. The then transmits a re-authentication request to the authentication server when the parameter value reaches a threshold to cause a re-authentication of the client device with the network to occur before granting further access to the network by the client device.

  • Publication number: 20060271952
Abstract: An apparatus such as a television signal receiver, radio or other device provides an emergency alert function. According to an exemplary embodiment, the apparatus includes a tuner for tuning a channel frequency that provides emergency alert signals indicating an emergency event. A processor enables an alert output responsive to the emergency alert signals. A single user input button receives tactile user inputs to control the emergency alert function. The single user input button is the only tactile user input means integral with the apparatus that is capable of controlling the emergency alert function.

  • Publication number: 20060264201
Abstract: A method for improving the security of a mobile terminal in a first communications network environment by redirecting the browser request, embedding a session identification inside an HTTP request and matching two HTTP sessions using such a session identification in the authentication server. The access point processes the web request from the mobile terminal such that a session identification becomes embedded in the universal resource locator. Additionally a mapping between this session identification and the media access control address or the internet protocol address of the mobile terminal is maintained in the WLAN. When the authentication server notifies the access point about the authentication result, the session identification is used to uniquely identify the mobile terminal. All these operations are transparent to the mobile terminal.

  • Patent number: 7123652
Abstract: A digital filtering system for filtering sample data includes a delay network for delaying input sample data to provide multiple delayed sample data outputs. The filtering system also includes a filter network represented by a decomposed coefficient weighting matrix for processing the delayed sample data outputs. A processor produces a filtered output by computing a weighted product summation of the delayed sample data outputs and the coefficient weighting matrix. The decomposed coefficient weighting matrix is derived by factoring a first coefficient weighting matrix with a common row factor and/or sparse matrix or by factoring based on matrix row or column symmetry.
