Abstract: Techniques for strength training using an exercise system including an electric linear motor. The exercise system includes a stand, including the electric linear motor comprising a mover and a rotor, and a user interface. The exercise system further includes an exercise attachment coupled to the mover in the electric linear motor, and a controller configured to control force generated by the electric linear motor, where an amount of force required to move the exercise attachment changes based on the force generated by the electric linear motor, and configured to display information related to moving the exercise attachment.
