Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for adjusting parameters using a vehicle touch screen. In one embodiment, a method includes determining an initial touch position of an external touch operation when the external touch operation is detected. A movement trajectory and final disengagement position of the external touch operation may then be detected. The movement trajectory need not be limited to an area covered by a parameter adjustment control. The parameter adjustment control may then be adjusted to a final parameter value according to the initial touch position, the final disengagement position, and the movement trajectory.

Abstract: Methods and systems for tracking asset locations within a facility are disclosed. In one embodiment, a system is provided that includes nodes and a gateway. The nodes may receive beacon transmissions containing beacon identifiers from beacons associated with assets. The nodes may transmit a node transmission including a beacon identifier, a node identifier of the node, and a signal strength of received beacon transmissions. The gateway may receive node transmissions and identify node transmissions that share a common beacon identifier. The gateway may then determine a location of the beacon associated with the common beacon identifier by identifying floors associated with nodes that received a beacon transmission from the beacon. The gateway may also select a beacon floor with the most nodes that received a beacon transmission from the beacon and may select a closest node from among the nodes on the beacon floor with the highest signal strength.

Abstract: A computer-implemented template provides a structure for a document. The template may provide zero or more region definitions and zero or more placeholders. Region definitions may be associated with data provided in data providers. There are two types of data providers, namely software data providers and non-software data providers. Software data providers provide data through the execution of software code, whereas non-software data providers do not execute software code. A rendering engine renders the template pursuant to a rendering strategy. If a region definition in a template is associated with a region in a single data provider, the rendering engine replaces the region definition in the template with the located region. If a single region definition is associated with two or more regions, the rendering engine and the rendering strategy decide which region to use based upon a predetermined strategy.

Abstract: A package for the display and housing of a device that changes appearance upon a change in viewing angle includes a shaped bottom. When urged from a static position, the package and the device move on the shaped bottom permitting an observer to view the changing appearance until the movement gradually dampens out.

Abstract: An apparatus includes a changing image and an information display. A shaped base portion, having a length less than a height of the apparatus, supports the image and the information display in a substantially vertical orientation. The shaped base portion permits the image and the information display to oscillate upon external urging. Added weight in the top half of the apparatus assists in providing a desired oscillation rate.
