  • Publication number: 20240409382
Abstract: A damage detection system comprising a controller and a camera associated with a vehicle. The camera is configured to acquire images of the vicinity of the vehicle. The controller is configured to process the acquired images in order to: recognise a safety structure in the acquired images; compare the recognised safety structure in the acquired image with an other image of the same, or a corresponding, safety structure; and based on the comparison, provide a damage-status-signal that represents a damage status of the safety structure.

  • Patent number: 11634873
Abstract: A kerb barrier includes: a first barrier member having a length, the first barrier defining a cavity; and a second barrier member in the cavity of the first barrier that extends substantially along the length of the first barrier member, wherein a base of the second barrier member is fixable to a base of the first barrier member, wherein, upon side impact, a region of the first barrier member is configured to bend relative to the second barrier member about a first bending point defined by the first barrier member, wherein the first barrier member is configured to act on the second barrier member such that the region of the first barrier member and a region of the second barrier member are configured to bend about a second bending point defined by the second barrier member, wherein the second bending point is spaced apart from the first bending point.

  • Publication number: 20230018033
Abstract: An anchor assembly for receiving a fixing member. The assembly may include a shell with a substrate engagement surface. The shell defines a passage configured to receive the fixing member. The passage extends from a trailing edge end of the shell towards a leading edge end of the shell along an alignment axis. There is also provided an engagement member and a resilient member located in the passage. The resilient member is mounted in the passage such that it is fixed relative to the passage and such that an end of the resilient member is moveable with the engagement member along the passage.

  • Patent number: 10975592
Abstract: A barrier having first and second spaced posts interconnected by a rail, wherein the rail and posts are not inserted within one another. In the exemplary embodiments, the parts are hollow in at least the region of the intended interconnection. Each post is connected to the rail by a coupling. Each coupling includes a connector that extends inside the hollow region of the post and rail. The post includes an aperture wherein when assembled the connector extends through the aperture. The connecter includes an abutment that abuts an inside of the post to prevent movement of the connector through the aperture. The connector is moveable further into one of the hollow sections of the post or rail to withdraw the connector from the other of the post or rail. This allows the rail to be disconnected from the post without increasing the distance between the two spaced posts.

  • Pin
    Patent number: 10711819
Abstract: A pin having a tool engagement portion and a resiliently deformable cover arranged over the tool engagement portion. The resiliently deformable cover is operable to deform from a first position to a second position to allow for the engagement of the tool engagement portion with a tool. The tool engagement portion is substantially concealed when the cover is in the first position, reducing the opportunities for dirt ingress. A tool may be used to deform the cover and allow the tool to engage with the tool engagement portion such that rotation of the tool causes co-rotation of the pin.
