Abstract: A method for controlling the IoT devices and an IoT system using the same are provided. The IoT devices includes a trigger device and a functional device. A managing software is executable on a client device. First, a credential is sent to the client from the functional device. Second, a script is received at the trigger device. The script includes the credential, at least one supported command, and at least one supported event. The script is generated at the managing software. The supported command is recognizable to the functional device. When the supported event is triggered at the trigger device, the supported command from the trigger device is received at the functional device. Then, a function of the functional device is performed based on the command, which increases the convenience of operating the system. The trigger device need not recognize the command, which increases the flexibility of the system.

Abstract: A cloud recording system, a cloud recording server, and a cloud recording method are provided. The cloud recording system includes an image source device, a recording device, and a remote storage device. The image source device provides an audiovisual streaming data. The recording device is used for receiving the audiovisual streaming data. The recording device stores at least one recording time parameter and includes a capture unit and a conversion unit. The capture unit is used for capturing a partial audiovisual streaming data in accordance with the recording time parameter. The conversion unit is used for converting the partial audiovisual streaming data into a captured file. The recording device is configured to transmit the captured file to the external of the recording device. The remote storage device is connected to the recording device and is used for receiving and keeping the captured file.

Abstract: A communication method for keeping network connection of an electronic device in a sleep mode includes connecting an address translator to an electronic device via a local network, connecting the address translator to a server via an internet network, providing a connection channel between the electronic device and the server by using the address translator, sending a first keeping-connection request from the electronic device to the address translator before the electronic device gets into a sleep mode, and keeping freely flowing of the connection channel according to the first keeping-connection request by using the address translator when the electronic device is in the sleep mode.

Abstract: A remote wakeup method includes: receiving a wakeup request packet from a first apparatus, obtaining a wakeup information according to the wakeup request packet, generating an apparatus wakeup packet according to the wakeup request packet and the wakeup information, obtaining a connection information corresponding to a second apparatus according to the wakeup request packet, and sending the apparatus wakeup packet to the second apparatus based on the connection information. The wakeup request packet includes a device identifier (UID) of the second apparatus, and the apparatus wakeup packet includes the device identifier of the second apparatus and wakeup information.

Abstract: A network-traversal method includes: receiving an address information of a network device from a link server; generating a port number sequence composed of port values according to an external port number of the address information; and sending a link packet to an external network address of the address information in an order of the port values in the port number sequence until receiving an acknowledgement packet from the network device. At least one of the port values is related to the external port number. A part of the rest port values is/are generated gradually based on the external port number, and the others of the rest port values is/are generated randomly.

Abstract: A method is developed for enabling a host device to perform point-to-point (P2P) transmission. The method includes providing device identification, P2P program instructions and a server. The device identification is stored in an external device and the P2P instructions are installed on the host device. The server helps the host device to connect to other P2P devices under P2P approach.

Abstract: A establishing method for a P2P connection includes: receiving a connection request with a remote device from a client device, detecting a validation token in a network packet from the client device according to the connection request, and when the validation token is detected to be valid, executing a connection validation procedure including: receiving a first validation code and a first address information from the client device, reading a second validation code and a second address information from a storage unit, sending the first validation code and the first address information to the remote device, and sending the second validation code and the second address information to the client device. Therefore, the P2P connection between the client device and the remote device is established according to the first validation code, the second validation code, the first address information and the second address information.

Abstract: A method of facilitating set up of network connection of an electronic device to an external network is to be implemented by a portable communication device, and includes the steps of obtaining connection information which is associated with network connection with the electronic device, establishing wireless network connection with the electronic device according to the connection information, and transmitting an identifier and a password which are associated with a wireless AP to the electronic device so as to enable the electronic device to connect to the wireless AP using the identifier and the password so that the electronic device gains access to the external network via the wireless AP.

The server generates a first time in response to the initial value. The client generates a second time and a first verification hash code related with the first time and the second time. The client generates a first transmitting data and a third verification hash code related with the first transmitting data, the first verification hash code and the second verification hash code. The server generates a first response message and a fourth verification hash code related with the first response message, the second verification hash code and the third verification hash code.

Abstract: A searching system, searching method and P2P devices for a P2P device community are provided. An online server connects to a content management server and a P2P device community, respectively. The content management server includes a search engine and an index database, and each of the P2P devices of the P2P device community is provided with an indexed data and a weighted data. The index database is recorded with the indexed data associated with each of the P2P devices of the P2P device community, and the search engine searches the index database to generate a search result and then generates a weighted and sorted search result based on the weighted data, thereby achieving the object of searching important file data in the P2P device community.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a gateway for controlling Wakeup-on-LAN and/or Sleep-on-LAN through the Internet. The gateway comprises a first port for establishing a P2P (point-to-point) connection to the Internet, and a second port for coupling to a Local-Area-Network (LAN) that supports Wakeup-on-LAN and/or Sleep-on-LAN, wherein the gateway collects identifications and addresses of terminal devices in the Local-Area-Network (LAN) for associating the identification codes and the addresses of the terminal devices, so that the gateway can wake up and/or sleep the terminal devices according to messages carrying the identification codes of the terminal devices on the P2P connection.
