Abstract: A connection handover handling between a mobile communication device and a second communication device wherein the server is connected to a wireless local area network and a wireless wide area network. The method includes the steps of receiving a signal indicative of a status of the connectivity between the mobile communication device and the wireless local area network; and depending on the connectivity status, controlling a handover process. Where the connectivity status of the connection between the mobile communication device and the wireless local area network is bad and the mobile communication device is connected to the wireless local area network, handing over the connection from the wireless local area network to the wide area wireless network.
