    Abstract: A synthetic resin pipe which includes two identical complementary, extruded semi-cylinders joined by electromagnetic bonding along abutting longitudinal edges to form a smooth walled cylindrical pipe. In one embodiment of the invention, the smooth walled pipe forms an internal sleeve or liner within an external corrugated pipe having contiguous circumferential corrugations over its length, and having the troughs of the corrugations bonded to the outer surface of the internal sleeve.In the method for forming the pipe, two identical flat plastic sheets are extruded, then vacuumed formed into semi-cylinders each having radially outwardly projecting longitudinal flanges extending from opposite side edges thereof. A paste or dispersion containing ferro-magnetic particles is then applied to the flanges on the sides thereof adjacent the concavity of the respective semi-cylinder. The semi-cylinders are next arranged in registry to form a cylinder with the flanges abutting.

    Abstract: A connector fitting by which corrugated conduit can be quickly connected to an electrical box. The fitting includes a pair of hingedly interconnected semi-cylindrical collars. Two spaced, box engaging projections are carried on, and extend axially from each of the semi-cylindrical collars, and the inner side of each semi-cylindrical collar is grooved to mate with and engage corrugations carried exteriorly on a corrugated conduit to be connected to an electrical box by the use of the fitting. Each of the box engaging projections includes a wedge shaped free end portion and a web portion by which the wedge shaped free end portion is connected to one of the respective collars. Each wedge-shaped end portion, its associated web portion and the collar to which the web portion is connected define an arcuate channel or relief for receiving and engaging the portion of the wall of an electrical box which surrounds an opening into which the connector fitting is snapped.

    Abstract: A system of flexible conduit and fittings useful particularly, though not exclusively, for conveying, supporting and connecting electrical service cables and wires. The system includes a corrugated, synthetic resin conduit which is flexible and mechanically strong, connector sleeves for clampingly engaging sections of the corrugated conduit in end-to-end relation, and hanger sleeves for clampingly engaging the conduit and suspending it from a wall or similar surface. A novel electrical outlet box is provided and includes internally toothed conduit-receiving inlet fittings for securely engaging an end of the conduits in inlets to the box.

    Abstract: A connector fitting for interconnecting flexible corrugated conduit sections which includes a pair of arcuate sections joined by flexible straps and having corrugation-engaging ribs which engage the corrugation conduit sections when the arcuate sections of the fitting are closed about the conduit sections. In the closed position, the two arcuate conduit sections are interlocked by means of tongues carried on each of the arcuate sections, which tongues engage a slot carried on the other of the arcuate sections.

    Abstract: Apparatus for cutting a conduit or tubular element transversely to the longitudinal axis thereof which includes a base having a housing projecting vertically therefrom. The housing includes opposed, substantially parallel side plates separated by a vertical slot at their upper ends, and by a mechanism chamber at their lower ends. A blade element is pivotally supported between the parallel side plates, and carries a plurality of ratchet teeth along the lower peripheral edge and a cutting edge disposed at the opposite side of the blade element from the ratchet teeth. Between the teeth and cutting edge, the knife element has an elongated, arcuate slot formed therethrough. An operating handle is pivotally connected to the housing at a side thereof spaced from the pivotal axis of the blade element. A pawl lever is pivotally connected to the operating handle and has a dog thereon positioned to ride over and operatively engage the ratchet teeth as the operating handle is pivoted.
