Abstract: Three-dimensional grid beams are provided. The three-dimensional grid beam as provided offers high construction precision and rigidity, thus allowing the construction set thereof to be used in industrial and laboratory applications. The construction set utilizing such three-dimensional grid beams with connectors for releasably interconnecting the three-dimensional grid beams is also provided.
Abstract: A network-enabled device is provided. The provided network-enabled device includes at least one light indicator, and an electronic circuit capable of controlling brightness of said light indicator and driving said light indicator in a manner that allows simultaneous indication of at least a first dimension and a second dimension of said network-enabled device's operational state on said at least one light indicator using at least a first method and a second method of status indication. The present invention reduces the size, cost, and complexity—both internal and aesthetic—of network-enabled devices by combining the functions of the network LED (or a set thereof) and the device LED (or a set thereof) in a single status LED (or a set thereof).
Abstract: The present invention provides a data logging system and a data logging method for heterogeneous data. The record file and the index file according to the present invention are constructed in such a way that the data from the log record corresponding to a given target visual data line are accessible within essentially constant time independent of the position of the visual data line within the data view, the size of the data view, the size of the log record, and the size of the record file. In the present invention, the interpreted data for each log record, occupying zero or at least one of the visual data lines, are represented within the data view continuously side by side. The computer readable medium having recorded thereon a program allowing a computer to execute the data logging method according to the present invention and the computer program product for the same are also provided.
Abstract: A connector jack with reduced host PCB footprint and an assembly of the same are provided. The provided connector jack is constructed based on a housing defining at least a front face with a plug receiving cavity on the surface thereof and with a plurality of electrical contacts positioned within the cavity, and a bottom face having a recess area on the surface thereof and adapted for mounting on a circuit board. In the present invention, at least a portion of the housing is made of a transparent or translucent material so that the status indicators located within the recess will be visible through the transparent portion of the front face of the jack housing, and the recess area occupies a substantial portion of the bottom face and allows to place at least one status indicator and at least one additional component on the circuit board and at least partially within the recess area.
