    Abstract: A cleaning pad structure of stitch bonded construction incorporating one or more substrate layers of an absorbent nonwoven material with an optional additional fluid blocking substrate layer of polymer film or other suitable material in juxtaposed relation to the absorbent nonwoven layers. Stitching yarns are introduced in stitching relation through the substrate layers. One face of the pad defines a cleaning surface of raised yarn loops formed by the stitched yarns. The pad further includes an attachment surface facing away from the cleaning surface. The stitches of yarns across the attachment surface define an engagement surface for attachment to cooperating hooking elements across a surface of a mop head to define a hook and loop attachment system.

    Abstract: A fabric material having a textured surface and a process for producing the fabric material are disclosed. The fabric material is made from a woven fabric substrate including a warp yarn and at least first and second pick yarns. The first pick yarn is woven into the fabric substrate to provide integrity. The second pick yarn, on the other hand, is a yarn that is nappable from the surface of the fabric substrate. In accordance with the present invention, the fabric substrate is fed through a napping process which naps the second pick yarn appearing on the face of the fabric. The fabric substrate is then fed through a shearing process which shears the napped yarns. The napped and sheared yarns form pile-like tufts on the surface of the fabric. Ultimately, the napped and sheared yarns produce a velvet-like fabric having an improved aesthetic appearance.

    Abstract: A decorative texturized fabric is provided. The fabric is produced from a fabric substrate that includes a yarn nappable from one side of the substrate. For instance, in one embodiment, the fabric substrate is a warp knitted fabric. According to the present invention, the fabric substrate is treated with a size composition according to a particular pattern. The fabric is then napped causing a nap to form on one side of the fabric where the size composition has not been applied. In this manner, a texturized pattern is formed into the fabric. After napping, the size composition can be removed from the fabric and the fabric can be dyed.

Should the printed pattern and woven pattern fall out of alignment, the controller then alters the longitudinal size of the woven pattern, the printed pattern, or both patterns, in order to realign the patterns.
