Abstract: A housing adapted to be mounted beneath the top of a table and a shelf sized to fit substantially within the housing are operatively connected by a pair of telescoping rails which guide movement of the shelf between a retracted position in which the shelf is substantially within the housing and an extended position in which the shelf has a substantial portion thereof outside the housing. The rails pivot about an axis to change the height of the shelf with respect to the top of the table and the entire assembly includes a mechanism for securing the shelf in the extended position. The housing includes a vertically stepped slot in which a pin secured to the rails is movable to hold the shelf at predetermined heights with respect to the top of the table corresponding to the steps of the vertically stepped slot.

Abstract: A tilting table includes a table top, a base, linkage operatively interconnecting the base to the table top and an adjustment connected to the linkage for adjusting the angle of the table top relative to the base. The linkage includes a pivot connection interconnecting the table top and the base, a first link pivotally connected to the table top at one end and at the other end pivotally connected to the base and a second link connected to the first link and selectively actuated by the adjustment for actuating the first link and tilting the table top. The second link is connected to a traveling nut which is actuated by a threaded shaft for moving the second link and tilting the table top. The traveling nut and second link are carried by rollers supported by the base for supporting the table top.

Abstract: This cabinet and partition assembly can be used with office stands of the type having a table top, and the assembly includes a cabinet attached to the underside of the table top and having opposed side panels and a lower panel of substantially the same interior size as each other to define a square front access opening. The partition includes opposed parallel side members having perpendicular members extending therebetween, said partition having the same overall perpendicular dimensions. The partition dimensions define a square of substantially the same size as the cabinet access openings so that the opening can receive the partition in a horizontal shelf mode, or, when turned through ninety degrees, can receive the partition in a vertical divider moder. The cabinet is provided with a door which may be optionally hung on either of the cabinet side panels.

Abstract: A tilting table includes a table top attached to an upper U-shaped bracket. A lower U-shaped bracket is rotatively attached by a bearing to a base. The lower U-shaped bracket includes a pair of opposed side, substantially horizontal slots and a pair of opposed side angle slots. The angle slots include a plurality of notches. Pins are slidably received in the slots, and are carried by the upper bracket for supporting the table top. The pins are selectively positioned in the notches of the angle slots, while the pins slidably move in the substantially horizontal slots for selectively inclining the table top.

Abstract: A caster socket assembly for attachment of a caster to a furniture leg having an opening. The assembly includes a plastic housing having a cylindrical socket provided with an annular groove, the housing being insertable in the opening of the furniture leg. A caster includes a cylindrical pintle having an annular groove which is insertable in the socket. A split C-ring is attached to the caster at the pintle groove and is selectively engageable with the housing at the socket groove to retain the pintle in the housing. The C-ring has an expanded outside diameter greater than the pintle, and is resiliently compressible for sliding the pintle into and out of the housing socket and is resiliently expandable within the housing socket groove to retain the pintle within the housing socket in a mounted position.
