Abstract: A game having a housing with a plurality of spaces on the exterior of the housing. Each of the spaces has an input device and an indicator corresponding to the space, and each indicator has an off state and a plurality of distinct player states. Inside the housing is a controller which communicates with each of the input devices and indicators. The controller limits the number of indicators indicating each one of said distinct player states to a predetermined number. The predetermined number is less than half of the number of spaces on the exterior of the housing.

Abstract: Hand-held electronic game devices employing push buttons and other controls to manipulate game play and action on electronic displays, e.g., Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) or Light Emitting Diode (LED) display devices. The game devices have unique elongated, tubular forms in the shape of a stick. The electronic displays are integral with the unique tubular forms and generally centrally mounted therein. Various types of controls are employed at either or both ends of the game devices including, e.g., push buttons, pull switches, spring-loaded balls, flip switches, mouse controls, pointer balls, lever arms, or the like. Game concepts and operations are utilized based upon the particular control mechanisms employed as well as the unique physical shape and appearance of the devices.

Abstract: An electronic game comprising an emitter unit and a target unit. The emitter unit can emit a beam of electromagnetic radiation of a particular wavelength. The target unit has a liquid crystal display and an electromagnetic radiation sensor for measuring the amount of electromagnetic radiation directed at it from the emitter. An electronic controller inside the target unit controls the flow of the game and receives input signals from the radiation sensor which affect the game.

Abstract: A plurality of sensors, including transmitters and receivers, are positioned at various sections of a book for triggering sound generation. In an embodiment of the invention the sensor is a capacitive sensor wherein the transmitter and receiver are capacitive plates allowing electrical signals to be capacitively coupled therebetween when the book pages are in a closed position. The strobing or scanning of the plurality of sensors allows the book, under computer control, to determine the page to which the book is opened and accordingly trigger particularized sounds relating to the appropriate talking section.
