Abstract: A transportable service lift assembly for use in raising and lowering a vehicle from one position to a second position. The transportable service lift assembly comprises a first and second longitudinally extending frame members in opposed relationship to each other and supporting a platform, a first and second removably mounted wheel assemblies connected to the longitudinally extending frame member where a portion of the wheel assemblies extend below the frame member, a first lifting assembly connected to a first end of at least one frame member, and a second lifting assembly connected to a second or opposed end of at least one frame member. The first and second lifting assemblies raise and lower the longitudinally extending frame members so that the wheel assemblies can be removed from the frame members when the lifting assemblies are in a raised position and so that such vehicle can be positioned on the platform when the lifting assemblies are in a lowered position.
Abstract: A tilting lift apparatus for providing access to the under carriage of a vehicle, such as a fork lift truck is disclosed. A base pivotally mounts at least two longitudinally extending ramps. When a vehicle is moved onto the ramps they move from an angle position to a level position. A movement attenuating assembly is connected to the ramps for slowing their movement. In a preferred embodiment a tilter leg assembly is pivotally mounted together with a pivotally mounted brace. Both swing downwardly and engage as the ramps move toward the level position. A worker may then move under the ramps to perform maintenance or repair on the vehicle.
Abstract: A vehicle tilting apparatus for rotating a vehicle for servicing or repair is disclosed. A support assembly is pivotally mounted on a base frame assembly. The support assembly includes a lifting assembly having a pair of spaced lift members. Support platforms for supporting the vehicle are pivotally mounted on one of the lift members. An over center locking assembly is mounted on the other lift member to releasably lock the support platform to the lift member.
