Patents Assigned to Timberland Equipment Limited
  • Patent number: 10589755
Abstract: An aerial rope tramway or slope hoist system suitable for use in an open pit mine or similar application. According to an embodiment, the aerial slope hoist system comprises an upper station and a lower station. The upper station is configured in proximity to a surface section of the open pit and the lower station is configured at a lower section of the open pit mine. According to an embodiment, the upper station comprises first and second towers and the lower station comprises first and second towers. The towers are configured to support respective ends of first and second suspension cable assemblies. Each of the suspension cable assemblies is configured to support and carry a trolley or skip. The system comprises a hoist configured to move the respective trolleys in opposite directions. The towers for the lower station are configured to be moveable and provide the capability to break down the system and/or lengthen or reduce the span of the system.

  • Patent number: 7240633
Abstract: An underwater chain stopper and fairlead apparatus for offshore structures, drilling platforms, ships or other vessels. The apparatus comprises a mounting member, a fairlead member and a chain stopper member. The mounting member is attached to an underwater surface of the offshore structure or vessel and includes a bracket for coupling the fairlead member. The bracket may comprise a hinge allowing the fairlead member to pivot in an approximately horizontal plane. The chain stopper member is coupled to the fairlead member through a hinge which allows the chain stopper member to pivot with respect to the fairlead member in an approximately vertical plane. The chain stopper member includes a chain stopper flapper having a horseshoe shaped opening at one end. The other end of the flapper is connected to the chain stopper member through a hinge which allows the flapper to swing between an open position and a closed position.

  • Patent number: 4438710
Abstract: A twin row seedling planter is provided with a new mechanical system for ejecting seedlings into a cut in the ground made by a dibble after the dibble has cut to a selected depth. The planter also features an improved modular lay-out of planting beams, packing beams and wheel support beams. The operators' station is located for ease of access to the planting dibbles. A simple and efficient system is used to raise and lower the packing beams and the planter frame in sequence.

  • Patent number: 4364316
Abstract: The present invention provides a planting apparatus including a mobile frame suitable for forward travel over the ground. A planting arm is movably mounted to the frame and extends from a mounting location. The planting arm includes a dibble remote from the mounting location and adapted to cut into the ground when the dibble moves toward it during forward travel of the frame. A planter means is carried by the planting arm and is adapted to support a seedling for planting in the cut made by the dibble. The planter means includes upright spaced apart side walls at the rear of the dibble and a bottom ledge which together form a pair of side walls and the bottom respectively of a pocket for receiving and containing a seedling. The apparatus includes an elongated ejector tongue extending downwardly into said pocket to a point adjacent the bottom ledge and which forms a frontal wall for the pocket.

  • Patent number: 4140229
Abstract: A reclaimer apparatus is positioned in an elongated bulk material containing hopper or cargo hold of the type having opposed side walls which slope downwardly and inwardly toward the hopper bottom, the latter having a series of longitudinally extending discharge openings therein for discharging the bulk material on to a conveyor running lengthwise of the hopper. The reclaimer apparatus includes a rigid frame adapted to be located above the discharge openings and means for propelling the frame along the hopper bottom. The reclaimer has cutters thereon adapted to cut through bulk material, such as coal, in planes lying generally parallel to and adjacent the sloping side walls whereby to undercut the bulk mateial and to cause same to cascade downwardly and along the side walls and through the discharge openings.
