    Abstract: A portable imprinter for transferring data, in the form of raised characters on a credit card or the like, to a receiving paper by pressure. A pressure element is mounted directly in an actuator which slides in grooves formed in the wall of a frame member, and travels across an opening into which it protrudes slightly to press the receiving paper with its transfer element against the card.
