Patents Assigned to TimTek, LLC
  • Patent number: 9931761
Abstract: According to one embodiment, the steam pressing apparatus generally comprises a substantially rectangular or square-shaped inner chamber (such as an autoclave) and an outer, generally rectangular or square-shaped structure. In one embodiment, the steam pressing apparatus comprises a hydraulic system used to compress and treat a working material with high efficiency, timing and precision. In one aspect, the steam pressing apparatus comprises a structure and system that allows modularity and scalability for manufacturing final products of varying dimensions. Further, the steam pressing apparatus can be designed to respond to computerized instructions relating to the pressure to be applied, steam to be applied, vacuum parameters, timing of the press operation, thickness of the resultant working material, and other informational inputs.

  • Patent number: 7838446
Abstract: A wood enhancement agent treated engineered wood product. The wood enhancement agent typically includes at least one of a preservative, a water repellant, a fungicide, an insecticide, a stabilizing agent, wax, an ultra-violet light inhibitor, and combinations thereof, and may also include an antioxidant. The wood enhancement agent is incorporated into the engineered wood product during a billet making process or after forming the billet. The wood enhancement agent may be applied simultaneously with a bonding agent or at a later time, for example applied to a scrim log mat during a pre-press process or inside a steam press chamber. Alternatively, the wood enhancement agent may be applied to a warm billet after steam press, or to a reheated billet, by dipping, spraying, or flood coating the billet, or by diffusion, vacuum impregnation, pressure, or a combination thereof.
