Patent number: 9055803Abstract: A fluid applicator includes an applicator body, a foam element, and a fabric cover protecting the foam element. The applicator body includes a foam element support platform having first and second sides. A foam element engaging surface is provided on the first side of the foam element support platform. A foam element retaining wall is disposed at a peripheral edge of the foam element engaging surface. The foam element has a first side supported on the foam element engaging surface, a second side opposite the first side, and a peripheral edge at least partially enclosed by the retaining wall. A fabric mounting surface is disposed outside the retaining wall. The fabric cover is arranged on the second side of the foam element and is peripherally bonded to the fabric mounting surface. A fluid port provides fluid communication between the first side and second sides of the foam element support platform.Type: GrantFiled: July 20, 2011Date of Patent: June 16, 2015Assignee: TMP Technologies, Inc.Inventors: Edward M. Patent number: 7008133Abstract: A disposable single-use applicator assembly includes a package that sealably contains a fluid to be dispensed in and around an applicator for dispensing the fluid. The applicator has a handle and a fluid holding element at a first end portion of the handle. Prior to use, the fluid holding element is disposed in the package that contains the dispensable fluid. A hermetic closure is provided between a first end portion of the package and an intermediate portion of the handle. A second end portion of the handle extends clear of the package. A breakable portion of the package proximate to the hermetic closure allows the fluid holding element to be withdrawn from the package and thereby uncovered for use.Type: GrantFiled: August 5, 2003Date of Patent: March 7, 2006Assignee: TMP Technologies, Inc.Inventors: Gary Ashe, Edward M. Patent number: 6796737Abstract: An applicator and closure cap assembly includes a container adapted to carry a fluid therein and which is formed with a neck portion. A porous applicator tip is secured to the container. An orifice provides a fluid pathway from a fluid holding portion of the container to the applicator tip. A closure cap is slidably disposed in non-locking interfacial engagement with the container's neck so as to cover the applicator tip. A removable seal is provided to secure the closure cap to the neck and to seal the cap-container interface prior to use.Type: GrantFiled: August 28, 2003Date of Patent: September 28, 2004Assignee: TMP Technologies, Inc.Inventor: Gary Ashe

Patent number: 5771499Abstract: A face gasket made of a smooth, non-tacky, low durometer, chemically resistant closed cell resin foam is attached onto a goggles frame by injecting the resin into a mold cavity containing a contoured rim portion of the goggles frame. The contoured rim portion is intersected by multiple sprue openings that permit the pressurized resin to flow through the goggles frame and around the contoured rim during molding. The contoured rim portion is embedded within the molded gasket and sprue slugs extend through and fill the openings. The sprue slugs are integrally formed with the main body of the face gasket, thereby defining attachment links that permanently connect the face gasket in splash sealing engagement around the contoured rim and along internal and external sidewall surfaces of the goggles frame.Type: GrantFiled: May 15, 1996Date of Patent: June 30, 1998Assignees: American Allsafe Company, TMP Technologies, Inc.Inventors: Michael Angelo Monaco, Daniel Wayne Morley
