Patent number: 9074390Abstract: The present invention relates to a lock assembly which includes a lock body. The lock body is adapted to receive a lock barrel. The lock barrel has a plurality of passages. Each of the passages is in communication at one end with the lock body and open at the other end. The lock assembly also includes at least one wafer and a lower pin part. The wafer is received in one of the passages. The lower pin part is received in at least one of the remainder of the passages. The wafer has a column. One end of the column is adapted to include a key engaging surface while the other end is adapted to rest on a wall of the lock body. The lock barrel has a key slot which is in communication with the passages. The key slot is adapted to receive a key with a low cut adapted to correspond to the key engaging surface.
