Patent number: 11252983Abstract: The invention relates to a method for obtaining value-determining contents, such as flavouring substances, vitamins, and polyphenols, from foods (13), having the following steps: a) providing a food (13), b) adding a plant oil (15) as an extractant, c) grinding the food (13) and the plant oil (15) into a mash (21), and d) separating the mash into an extraction phase, which is an oil phase (25), and a solid phase (29) as a raffinate phase. The food (13) and the plant oil (19) are ground very finely, said grinding process being defined in that the food (13) together with the plant oil (15) is ground until the oil phase (25) has an average particle size of less than 300 ?m, preferably less than 100 ?m, particularly preferably less than 20 ?m.Type: GrantFiled: January 19, 2017Date of Patent: February 22, 2022Assignees: UNICO-FIRST AG, ZHAW—ZÜRCHER HOCHSCHULE FÜR ANGEWANDTE WISSENSCHAFTENInventors: Roland Laux, Tilo Hühn

Publication number: 20110208257Abstract: A method of conducting cranial electrostimulation on a patient is provided as well as equipment therefore. Suitable electrodes are attached to the head of the patient and electrostimulation currents are created in response to pulses applied to the electrodes. Multiple electrodes are employed and the electrostimulation currents are caused to flow between different pairs of electrodes of the multiplicity thereof sequentially in either a random order or a predetermined order. Typically, the multiple electrodes are arranged in two sets thereof in which instance the different pairs of electrodes are selected one from one set and one from the other set so that current flows between the electrodes of only one pair at any one time. The sets of electrodes are generally engaged with the ears of a patient. The polarity of the pulses applied to the various pairs of electrodes may be varied sequentially or randomly.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 17, 2009Publication date: August 25, 2011Applicant: TO BE FIRST AGInventor: Jaen Frederik LABUSCHAGNE

Publication number: 20110178586Abstract: An electrode unit is provided for use in cranial electrostimulation in which an electric current transferring electrode operatively transfers electrical energy to the region of an ear of a patient. The electrode unit has an electrode carried on the outer periphery of an audio earphone of the type suitable for engagement in the entrance to, or within, the auditory canal of an ear of a patient. The electrode has an electrical contact area for operatively transferring electrical energy between the electrode and the skin of a patient fitted with the electrode unit. The electrode may have a contact surface layer exposed for direct contact with the skin of a patient, in use, or it may have an electrically conductive cover for the electrode itself. Typically, the electrode unit forms one of a pair thereof in which instance the audio earphones are a pair of stereo earphones of substantially conventional type.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 17, 2009Publication date: July 21, 2011Applicant: To Be First AGInventor: Robert Russell Grey

Publication number: 20110172726Abstract: A method and equipment for conducting cranial electrostimulation on a patient are provided. Suitable electrodes are attached to the head of the patient cause electrostimulation currents to be created in response to pulses applied to the electrodes. Music is simultaneously audible to the patient. The pulses, or sequences of pulses, are generated at a frequency that is varied according to the rhythm, beat of music that is audible to the patient. The equipment comprises a cranial electrostimulation pulse generator and associated electrodes for applying pulses to the head of a patient, and a sound signal generator with at least one associated loudspeaker that is typically a pair of earphones, for generating audible sound. A controller controls the frequency at which pulses or sequences of pulses are generated by the cranial electrostimulation pulse generator such that the frequency is varied according to the rhythm, beat or tempo of the music.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 17, 2009Publication date: July 14, 2011Applicant: TO BE FIRST AGInventors: Martin Reinier Snyman, Jaen Frederik Labuschagne
