Patents Assigned to TOD'S.p.A.
  • Patent number: 5989912
Abstract: This invention relates to antisense oligonucleotides that target mRNAs in cells as substrates for the cellular enzyme RNase H and thereby cause specific degradation of the targeted mRNA. The oligonucleotides have three components: a RNase H activating region, a complementarity region and 3' and 5' ends. The invention optimizes each of the components to resist intracellular nucleases, to increase hybridization to target mRNA, to specifically inactivate target mRNA in cells, and to decrease cytotoxicity.

  • Patent number: 5692719
Abstract: The invention provides a stand for sheet music which includes a music support having a platen for carrying the music, a telescopic post for adjusting the height of the platen, and a base supporting the post and having collapsible legs. The post and music support are coupled to one another such that the support can be tilted relative to the post so that the music can be displayed at various heights and at various angles to the vertical. The music support is collapsible for movement between a deployed position and a stored position to minimize the size of the music support for transporting the stand.

  • Patent number: 5260550
Abstract: A punch-type vote recording device for use with a machine-readable non-scored ballot card has a card block mounted in fixed relation to a punch plate and means for biasing the foot of a ballot card against a registration surface on the card block. The arrangement as disclosed eliminates the requirement for high dimensional accuracy in registration pins on the vote recorder and accurately positioned registration apertures in ballot cards. The invention is disclosed in a vote recorder having a slidably received ballot holder comprising a punch plate spaced apart from a guide plate and a card block depending from the guide plate. The punch plate is disclosed as being provided with a series of die openings, each of which has a sharp upturned lip for cooperating with a stylus to shear and cut a precise machine readable hole in the ballot card.
