Abstract: The present invention relates to black magnetic iron oxide particles comprising core particles and a surface layer formed on a surface of the respective core particles which is made of a compound of at least one alkali earth metal element selected from the group consisting of Mg, Ca, Sr and Ba and an aluminum element, in which a content of the at least one alkali earth metal element present in the surface layer is from 100 ppm to 1000 ppm on the basis of a whole weight of the black magnetic iron oxide particles; a content of the aluminum element present in the surface layer is from 1000 ppm to 20000 ppm on the basis of a whole weight of the black magnetic iron oxide particles; a ratio [A/B] of the content [A (ppm)] of the aluminum element to the content [B (ppm)] of the at least one alkali earth metal element present in the surface layer is from 1 to 100; and a molded product comprising said black magnetic iron oxide particles has a breakdown voltage of not less than 400 V/cm.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a nanostructural substance constituted from primary particles having a particle diameter of not more than 30 nm. In the nanostructural substance of the present invention, the primary particles have a small particle diameter, and a contact surface between the primary particles is small. In particular, since the nanostructural substance of the present invention has a large content of molecules existing at the surface thereof and, therefore, a high surface energy as compared to simple agglomerated particles, it is expected to more remarkably exhibit functions of the compound constituting the primary particles. In addition, titanium oxide particles constituted from the nanostructural substance comprising primary particles having a small particle diameter and a small contact area therebetween according to the present invention exhibit a high catalytic activity and can be suitably used, in particular, as a photocatalyst.
Abstract: There are provided colored composite microparticles having a fine primary particle diameter and exhibiting a high tinting strength, an excellent dispersibility and an excellent light fastness; a process for producing the colored composite microparticles; and a dispersion of the colored composite microparticles. The colored composite microparticles are composite particles comprising silica and an organic pigment in which the silica is enclosed in the organic pigment and contained in an amount of 0.001 to 9% by weight (calculated as Si) based on the weight of the composite particles. The coloring composition for color filters is prepared by dispersing a colorant for color filters comprising the colored composite microparticles in a coloring composition base material, whereas the ink for ink-jet printing is prepared by dispersing a colorant for inks for ink-jet printing comprising the colored composite microparticles in an ink base solution.
Abstract: Spherical tetragonal barium titanate particles of the present invention have a perovskite crystal structure, an average particle diameter of 0.05 to 0.5 ?m, a particle size distribution ?g of not less than 0.70, and a ratio of Ba to Ti of 0.99:1 to 1.01:1. The spherical tetragonal barium titanate particles exhibit an excellent dispersibility as well as a high denseness, a high purity and excellent permittivity properties.

Abstract: There is provided a magnetic antenna, suitable for use in an RFID tag and an RFID tag reader/writer, which operates stable even if brought close to a metallic object and suitable for mass-production, and a board mounted with the magnetic antenna. The magnetic antenna has a coil comprising a magnetic layer and a conductive layer provided on the magnetic layer via an insulating layer. Alternatively, the magnetic antenna has a plurality of coils each comprising a magnetic layer having a square or rectangular shape and arranged radially. One ends of the coils are connected in series or parallel to one another by the magnetic layers thereof such that the coils have the same polarity. An insulating layer is provided on one or both outer surface of the coils, and a conductive layer is provided on an outer surface of at least one of the insulating layers. The magnetic antenna is produced using an LTCC technology.

Abstract: A purifying agent for purifying soil or ground water which comprises a water suspension containing iron composite particles comprising ?-Fe and magnetite, and having an average particle diameter of 0.05 to 0.50 ?m, an S content of 3500 to 10000 ppm and an Al content of 0.10 to 1.50% by weight, and polyaspartic acid or a salt thereof. Abstract: The present invention relates to a catalyst for removing a metal carbonyl which comprises a nickel-containing catalyst component and copper, said copper being present in an amount of 0.001 to 250% by weight in terms of metallic copper on the basis of a weight of the nickel contained in the catalyst component. The catalyst may further contain, if required, zinc oxide, a clay mineral, or a clay mineral supporting at least one element having an average particle diameter of not more than 50 nm which is selected from the group consisting of ruthenium, rhodium, iridium, platinum, gold, silver, palladium, nickel, cobalt, copper, iron, zinc, vanadium and manganese. When using the catalyst, it is possible to produce a mixed reformed gas from hydrocarbons, and remove a metal carbonyl in a reforming reaction field.

Abstract: A color agent for a road marking material comprising composite particles having an average particle diameter of 0.01 to 10.0 ?m, said composite particles comprising: inorganic particles; a gluing agent coating layer formed on surface of said inorganic particle; and an organic pigment coat formed onto said gluing agent coating layer in an amount of from 1 to 500 parts by weight based on 100 parts by weight of said inorganic particles. The color agent for a road marking material, contains no harmful elements and exhibits excellent tinting strength, hiding power, light resistance and heat resistance, and is suppressed in surface activity thereof. The road marking material using the color agent, shows a less change in hue with the passage of time and an excellent retroreflective property.
