  • Patent number: 5770285
Abstract: A fuel hose comprising an outer rubber layer wherein polysulfide is crosslinked so that polysulfide bonding density is not less than 4.times.10.sup.-5 mol/cm.sup.3, and an inner polyamide resin layer which is laminated on the inside face of the outer rubber layer and bonded thereon by heat treatment. Since the polyamide resin powder is melted by the heat treatment and the polysulfide bonding decomposes so that the resultant residue after decomposition combines with polyamide molecules, resulting in a direct and strong bonding of the outer rubber layer and the inner polyamide resin layer.

  • Patent number: 5766728
Abstract: The invention relates to a method of patterning a concrete surface and a pattern transfer mat for use in the method. The pattern transfer mat has a transfer surface having three-dimensional irregularities and carrying a multiplicity of grains to be transferred to the substrate concrete. Concrete is cast against the transfer surface of the mat and cured in situ and the mat is then detached. The aesthetic grains are grains having a cement powder deposited thereon beforehand. The cement powder absorbs water to cause fine air cells therein to collapse. Thus, the finished surface of the case concrete structure is made smoother.

  • Patent number: 5683647
Abstract: It is unnecessary to carry out the grinding process for improving the accuracy in the inner surface configurations, dimensions and the like of the hoses around the portion to be connected to a mating member. Further, the flashes, resulting from the material leakage, are inhibited from producing during the injection molding of a connecting portion following the blow molding of a hose body. Accordingly, it is possible to obviate the deflashing and finishing process and to prevent the material shrinkage from occurring. After forming a hose body 12 with a thermoplastic resin by blow molding, the hose body 12 is set in an injection molding mold 20 including an inner mold 24 and an outer mold 22, and the inner mold 24 is adhered to the opening portion of the hose body 12 by sealing means 28, 30, 40 or 42 in a fluid-proof manner.

  • Patent number: 5676355
Abstract: A suspension system includes a shock absorber, a coil spring, a tubular dust cover, and an insulator. The shock absorber is provided with a first seat and a second seat at the opposite ends. The insulator is disposed between the first seat and the coil spring, and includes a body for holding the coil spring, and a contact projecting from the body in a centripetal direction and having a portion being brought into contact with one of the opposite ends of the dust cover. The insulator forms a space between the first seat and an outer portion with respect to the portion of the contact. Thus, the insulator reduces the wear of the first seat resulting from the contact with the dust cover, inhibits the first seat from corroding, and keeps the strength of the first seat from decreasing.

  • Patent number: 5664608
Abstract: A multi-layered hose according to the present invention comprises a rubber outer layer and a resin or metal inner layer which is integrally formed at the inner periphery surface of the rubber outer layer. The thickness of the resin inner layer formed at the inner periphery surface of the edge portion is thinner than that of the resin inner layer formed at the inner periphery surface of a main portion of the hose. Therefore, when a mating pipe is inserted into the hose edge portion, the mating pipe is satisfactorily adhered to the inner surface of the hose edge portion, thereby obtaining excellent sealing.
