  • Patent number: 4039358
Abstract: A method of manufacturing an insulated gate type field effect semiconductor device, wherein before an oxide film for the gate is formed, the surface portion of the silicon substrate is removed which includes defect such as scar, crack, distortion, dislocation or the like which tends to cause pin-holes to be formed in said oxide film.

  • Patent number: 4027174
Abstract: A dynamic decoder circuit including at least first, second and third complementary MOS transistor circuits designed to minimize power consumption and able to produce high output signal levels. The first circuit comprises a first MOS transistor of a first channel type and a plurality of second MOS transistors of a second channel type having the drains thereof connected to that of the first MOS transistor, wherein address signal or signals are selectively applied to the gates of the second MOS transistors and a first timing signal is imparted to the gate of the first MOS transistor.

  • Patent number: 4024081
Abstract: Ferroelectric ceramic compositions consisting essentially of quaternary solid solutions of Pb(Fe1/2.Nb1/2)O.sub.3 --Pb(Zn1/3.Nb2/3)O.sub.3 --PbZrO.sub.3 --PbTiO.sub.3, the components of which are within a defined range of relative proportions, have substantially higher insulation resistance characteristics and substantially higher electromechanical coupling coefficient characteristics than prior art compositions. Additionally, the components within a more restricted range of relative proportions have the additional characteristic of a higher Poisson's ratio than prior art compositions.

  • Patent number: 3996503
Abstract: A variable capacitor includes a plurality of stator plates supported on spaced parallel rods. A plurality of rotor plates supported on a shaft are arranged so that each rotor plate is placed a predetermined distance from the surface of the adjacent stator plate. This is accomplished by spacer members disposed between the adjacent stator plates as well as between the adjacent rotor plates. Each spacer member is made of metal wire, with a circular cross-section, and is shaped in form of a ring. Use of the metal wire having a predetermined dimension is much more convenient than a tube or sleeve. Consequently fixing the distance between the stator plates and between the rotor plates can be performed with high accuracy.

  • Patent number: 3972663
Abstract: A method and apparatus for packaging electronic components such as for example pulse transformers or the like with a thermosetting material such as for example a phenolic or epoxy resin. A pulse transformer element comprising a toroidal ferrite core having coils wound thereon embedded in a thermosetting base member provided with an intermediate flange-like portion, and terminal pins, is inserted in a lower mold cavity formed in a mold magazine, with the terminal pins inserted in elongated slots formed in the bottom surface of the lower mold cavity which is isolated by the pulse transformer element per se from the upper mold cavity into which the thermosetting material is injected.
