  • Patent number: 5163303
Abstract: A double-walled tube type open rack evaporating device comprising a plurality of heat-exchanging pipes each of a double-walled tube structure having an inner tube and an outer tube in communication with the inner pipe at one end to constitute a heat-exchanging panel, a liquefied gas inlet header tank connected to one end of the inner tube, an exit header tank connected to one end of the outer tube, and a heating means for gradually evaporating a liquefied gas that flows from the liquefied gas inlet header tank into the inner tube and then delivering the gas as a gas at a normal temperature to the exit header tank. Deposition of ice can be avoided and the amount of sea water used as a heat medium can be reduced to save electric power consumption in a sea water pump. Flow rate and calorie hunting can be prevented to make LNG and NG flows stable.

  • Patent number: 4994959
Abstract: An air-fuel ratio programmable control method for a fuel burner installation, and a fuel burner installation adapted to operate by the control method. In the method, an error (Ep) is determined by subtraction of an input (Po) representative of the existing firing rate and an input (Pn) representative of the required firing rate; depending on whether Ep is positive or negative, fuel and air supplies to the burner are modulated in either air-led or fuel-led manner, respectively, to set the firing rate to the desired value (Pn); in addition, the error (Ep) is compared to a predetermined breakpoint (Xp) so that if Ep exceeds Xp fuel and air supplies to the burner can be modulated simultaneously for fast control action.

  • Patent number: 4770105
Abstract: A piping travelling apparatus having a plurality of continuous treads driven by motors through transmission gearing. The continuous treads are mounted to a frame and spaced apart a predetermined distance peripherally of the inner wall surface of the piping. At least one of the continuous treads is kept in contact with the inner wall surface of the piping no matter what the posture of the apparatus may be, so that the apparatus can travel without any trouble even if its posture undergoes a change when it moves along elevations and depressions on the inner wall surface of the piping or negotiates the boundary between different levels of the inner wall surface or bends of the piping. The apparatus enables a travel through piping of relatively small diameter having vertical or steeply slanted pipes to be made without any trouble.
