    Abstract: The invention provides a sensor whose conductive sheet is composed of substantially non-cross-linked thermoplastic elastomer and conductive carbon. The conductive sheet has a maximum of 70 of Shore A-hardness. By virtue of the above structure, the sensor very sharply responds to electric resistance of the conductive sheet against presence of low molecular weight organic liquid such as gasoline and vapor thereof to quickly detect leaked organic liquid or vapor with extremely sharp sensitivity. Furthermore, the detection system of the invention using the above sensor has a simple circuit which precisely detects varied electric resistance of the conductive sheet. The detection system characteristically incorporates an alarm generator to instantly warn operators of the presence of leaked organic liquid such as gasoline and vapor thereof.

    Abstract: A device for recovering vapor in a vehicle fuel tank has a hydraulic motor arranged in the way of a liquid duct for feeding volatile liquid from a fuel reservoir tank to a gun nozzle mounted at the free end of the liquid duct, and a pneumatic pump arranged in the way of a vapor duct for feeding the vapor in the vehicle fuel tank through the gun nozzle to the fuel reservoir tank. The hydraulic motor and the pneumatic pump have a pair of meshing rotors, respectively. One pair of rotors are of substantially same configuration and size with those of the other pair of rotors. The rotors of the pneumatic pump are driven by the hydraulic motor rotors through multiplying gearings.

    Abstract: System for radio transmission of level data of liquid contained in a tank and for converting to the level data to volume data to be indicated. A transmitter includes a cell for supplying electric power, a microcomputer connected to the cell and normally dept in a standby state in which it consumes a small amount of electric power. A timer is connected to the cell and the microcomputer to provide the latter with activation signals to place it in a activated state at a predetermined interval. A level detector if supplied with electric power from the cell only when the microcomputer is activated to provide the level data. A memory is continuously supplied with the electric power from the cell to memorize the level data, and a modulator supplied with the electric power from the cell only when the microcomputer is activated to transmit the level data in the memory by carrier waves through an antenna, whereby the system saves power consumption of the cell.

    Abstract: A liquid delivery nozzle to be used in gasoline stations comprising two pairs of light sensor in which the first pair arranged at the tip end of the nozzle is of reflection type and the second pair arranged a little higher up from said first pair is of usual contact type, for more relevantly coping with full tank delivery. The sensors are mounted in a casing which is to be mounted on the nozzle inner wall surface near the tip end. In order to prevent leads extending through said nozzle and a hose connected therewith for angular movement from being damaged due to such angular movement, a flexible sheet on which leads are printed or embedded, has a part wound to form several spiral turns. The sheet is arranged in the portion where angular movement occurs to cope with such movement by loosening or tightening of the spiral turns.

A block having contact pins is snugly embraced by the carriage and is adapted to vertically move relative to the carriage when the carriage is moving to the operating position by sliding up a sloped floor to establish an electrical connection with contact points on the IC card.The IC card is held by angularly movable hooks actuated by a lever to be moved by the carriage. The hooks are retracted by disengaging the lever from a latch. Concurrently, the carriage is returned to the initial waiting position to eject the IC card out of the casing.

    Abstract: A new and novel mounting for a flexible hose in a gasoline dispensing apparatus is disclosed. Contrary to a conventional mounting in which the hose is fixed to the apparatus housing at the one end and the other free end provided with a valved nozzle which is normally hung on the housing so that the intermediate length of the hose is suspended like the letter of "U", according to the present invention the hose is extended upwardly and then suspended downwardly so that this inverted "U" form is normally maintained by an elastic means such as a coiled spring fitted on the hose along at least the upwardly extended length. Thereby the force necessary for manually bringing the nozzle to the fuel inlet of a car can be considerably decreased and undesired hose dragging can be avoided which makes it possible to realize self-service system in a gasoline station.
