Abstract: Methods, apparatuses, and computer-readable media directed to phone-number-based payment authorization are described. A phone-number-based payment authorization system (PBA) may be configured to authorize payments from a payer party to a payee party based on a phone number of a payer party. The PBA may be configured to receive a payment authorization request, which may include a payment amount as well as a phone number for the payer party. In response to receipt of the payment authorization request, the PBA may make a determination of whether the payer is capable of making a payment of the requested amount. The determination may include determination of payment capabilities from various payment servicers. The PBA may also make an authorization request from a third-party authorizing entity based on identifying and/or financial information known to the PBA. Abstract: Apparatuses, methods and storage medium associated with geographic coordinates based content search are disclosed herein. In embodiments, a search service may be configured to analyze a plurality of contents having non-geographic coordinate content items. The analysis may include determination of whether the non-geographic coordinate content items are associated with a plurality of locations on Earth's surface. The locations may be identifiable by a plurality of geographic coordinates of a geographic coordinate system. For contents with non-geographic coordinate content items recognized to be associated a plurality of locations, the search service may generate and store indices that index the geographic coordinates of the locations to the contents with associated non-geographic coordinate content items. Abstract: In embodiments, a shared-transportation user interface element (“STE”) may facilitate sharing of transportation for a location described in a web page. Code for the STE may be generated based on location or other information for the location and may be included in, or otherwise referred to by, the web page. A user may later request the web page during which the web page and the STE may be rendered. In embodiment, the STE may take the form of a button. The user may then activate the STE, which may in turn cause the code for the STE to trigger a matching of shared transportation using a shared-transportation matching module. Abstract: In embodiments, a shared-transportation social interaction system (“STSI”) may facilitate a first user in sharing transportation to one or more locations based on the activities and/or statements of a second user. The STSI may follow one or more blogs of the second user, as well as location information, such as made available by the second user's GPS or social-networking check-ins. The STSI may also allow the first user to follow the second user and to be notified when the second user is at a location of interest. Upon determining the second user to be at a location of interest, the STSI may determine if the first user is available and may then send a notification to the first user. The STSI may then facilitate the first user in sharing transportation to the location. Other embodiments may be described and claimed.
