    Abstract: A method and appartus for controlling the pH of a water stream using carbon dioxide in which carbon dioxide at a selected pressing and flow rate is mixed with a carrier water, also at a selected pressure and flow rate, and the carbon dioxide-carrier water mixture is injected into the water steam, which is at a lower pressure, thus allowing the carbon dioxide to come out of the solution, contact the water stream and correspondingly adjust the pH of the water stream.

A transfer member is mounted between the lower section and the upper section for reciprocal movement and has at least two transfer chambers for transporting sublimable media.
