Abstract: The invention relates to a method and device for navigating on a vision plane (1) in a multidimensional image data set (8), wherein the intersection angle and degree of freedom (3, 6, 7) of the vision plane (1) displacement correspond to the degree of freedom of a sample (2) displacement, in particular an ultrasound transducer (2) during an interactive image producing examination.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method, a device and a computer program product for evaluating medical image data sets, which consists of two-dimensional section images, in particular MR images, wherein a plurality of two-dimensional cross-sections (K1, K2, . . . Kn) and at least one two-dimensional longitudinal section (L1) of a target region (1) of a human or animal body are recorded and stored, a longitudinal axis (5) and points of intersection (6) are determined at the points at which the longitudinal axis (5) extends through the plurality of two-dimensional cross-sections (K1, K2 . . . Kn) and a reduced data volume (7) is generated, which is composed of partial cross-sections (k1, k2, . . . kn), which are generated by means of the points of intersection (6) and scaling factors (a1, a2, b1, b2) from the plurality of two-dimensional cross-sections (K1, K2, . . . Kn).

Abstract: “The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for detecting movements of objects, preferably an ultrasonic method and apparatus for detecting the movements of blood vessels during the cardiac cycle, including scanning an object by two- or three-dimensional ultrasonic image scanning means at discrete acquisition times to acquire a data set by using surface reconstruction and/or volume rendering techniques, partitioning the three-dimensional data set into a plurality of volume units, wherein each volume unit has a unit surface, calculating the change of volume of each volume unit over said acquisition times to obtain level information of each corresponding unit surface over time, and displaying said three-dimensional data set with its level information over time two- and/or three-dimensionally.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method or a device for recording ultrasonic images of an object (1) in which ultrasonic waves are radiated onto the object (1) by an ultrasonic emitter, and ultrasonic waves reflected by the object (1) are received by an ultrasonic receiver. For recording individual image partial areas (6), the ultrasonic emitter or ultrasonic receiver (18) is displaced along the object (1) or is at least partially rotated with regard to the object (1). The corresponding movement (S) of the ultrasonic transmitter or of the ultrasonic receiver (4, 18) is progressively detected by a detector (9, 23) and is assigned to the individual image partial areas (6). As a result, it is possible to record the object (1) by manually moving the ultrasonic transducer (4), whereby an incremental detector serves as a detector (9, 23) for progressively detecting the movement (S).

Abstract: An apparatus and method for recording ultrasound images of a moving object is disclosed. The apparatus includes an ultrasound transmitter, an ultrasound receiver, and an image processor. At least one of the ultrasound transmitter and receiver is moved in relation to an object. Images of the object are acquired, and a movement state of the object is determined and classified into one of two movement states. Based on the movement state of the object, images are either not acquired, or not processed. If the image of the object is not processed, the image processor filters out the images which were acquired during a movement state of the object when the movement is high. The image processor then assembles the images and displays the assembled images.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method for sensing ultrasound images of an object (1). The method is characterized in that an ultra-sound head (3) is moved along the object so as to sense individual image subdomains (13) of said object (1). An evaluation subdomain (14) is analyzed in order to determine the extent of the object (1) or the spacing (&dgr;x) between the individual image subdomains (13). This evaluation subdomain (14) is sensed perpendicularly to the sensed image subdomains (13); that is, it represents a domain of the object (1) which overlaps at least two image subdomains (13). In this way, allocation within the individual image subdomains (13) can be determined by using the structures of the object (1) thus obtained. To this end, in particular a vertical column structure (11) of the object (1) (evaluation subdomain (14)) is analyzed, thus enabling allocation of a plurality of individual horizontal line structures (10), i.e.

Abstract: The ultrasound imaging system and method of the present invention defines the gray-scale value and other parameters for each of a plurality of image elements in an output volume by determining all of the image information in the scanning planes that is contained within a defined portion of the output volume (which contains the image element) and thereafter simultaneously analyzing the selected image information. These steps are repeated for each of the image elements in the output volume.
