    Abstract: A dial drive fit system includes a dial handle and dial base containing a plurality of clicker arms capable of rotating a dial base axel in a clockwise or counterclockwise rotation. The dial drive fit system utilizes a dial with flexible arms that permit winding/unwinding of a spool when a user rotates the dial handle but prevents rotation when the dial handle is not actively rotated. The dial base axel is functionally coupled with the spool configured to receive and store a filament coiled around the spool. The dial drive fit system may be used with helmets, shoes, knee braces, and any item meant to be secured or requiring adjustable tightening.

    Abstract: A modular stand-alone ultrasonic bag sealing system has an ultrasonic sealer assembly that utilizes a sonotrode and an anvil that are actuated together to form a bag seal in a bag configured therebetween. The control software is configured to control the ultrasonic sealer assembly to close and open to seal bags. The controller may have a plurality of signal inputs for receiving input signals from a bag feeder assembly or from an auxiliary machine. The system may also have an integral bag feeder assembly that has an index roller for feeding a bag to the ultrasonic sealer assembly. The system is configured for quick integration into a process line and has versatility of communication through the control software and signal inputs and outputs.

Leveling jacks are provided at one end of the cabinet to permit precise horizontal leveling of the cabinet pipe rails in both X and Y axes. Power tools include saws, grinders, welding spinners, benders, vices, anvils, drills, and the like.

The connection head has an essentially spherical outer surface with a liner located in an inner cavity in the connection head. The connection head is formed by expanding the center bore of the tubular body of the fuel line at one end. The center bore is expanded by moving the sidewall of the tubular body outward. The liner is then inserted into the expanded center bore and the sidewall of the tubular body is formed over the front side of the liner.

    Abstract: Crimped seals that are formed in overlapping portions of a packaging material are tested for quality. Initially, the packaging material is installed on first and second clamps. A portion of the packaging material is then extended between first and second crimpers. The first and second crimpers are moved into engagement with the portion of the packaging material to form a crimped seal. During this engagement, the amount of force that is exerted on the portion of the packaging material by the first and second crimpers to form the crimped seal is measured. Then, the first and second clamps are moved to pull apart the crimped seal. The amount of force that is exerted by the first and second clamps to pull apart the crimped seal is also measured. An apparatus for testing the quality of such crimped seals is also provided.

One attachment point is used to attach the vise to an existing support such as an existing horizontal rail, and another attachment point allows a saw to be mounted to the vise. A workpiece is mounted in the third attachment point. The saw is aligned with the workpiece so that the workpiece may be selectively cut at a desired length and angle. A measuring apparatus is also incorporated within the vise to allow an operator to set the saw to cut successive workpieces at the same lengths without having to remeasure each workpiece.

The bending apparatus when secured in the vise jaws is oriented horizontally or vertically, thus enabling the bending apparatus to precisely create horizontal and vertical bends in a workpiece. Bends may be created in succession without requiring a user to continually adjust the orientation of the workpiece or the bending apparatus itself.

The support plate is secured to the body to retain and support the insert thereon. The insert and the support plate may be formed as separate pieces or may be secured together as a single piece. To prevent excessive compression of the insert, the insert can have an aperture formed therethrough, and the support plate can have a protrusion formed thereon that extends through the aperture into abutment with the base.

    Abstract: A crimper assembly includes upper and lower crimper bars which are rotated relative to a sheet of packaging material. A pair of upper crimpers are secured to opposite sides of the upper crimper bar, while a pair of lower crimpers are secured to opposite sides of the lower crimper bars. Each of the upper crimpers includes a metallic base having an outwardly facing portion with an undulating cross sectional shape. A slot is formed in the outwardly facing portion of the upper crimper, and a cutting blade is retained therein. In a first embodiment, an insert is secured to the base of each of the upper crimpers. The insert includes a rigid shank having a lip portion extending therefrom. Portions of the outer surface of the shank are covered by a layer of a relatively resilient material. The layer is formed from a material which is suitable for compressing overlapping portions of the folded sheet of packaging material to form an intermeshing seal pattern.
