    Abstract: A resin composition includes an aliphatic polyester resin. A process for producing a fiber includes mixing a pellet comprising an aliphatic polyester resin having carboxyl groups at the end termini of the molecular chain with a compound represented by the general formula (I) so that the content of the compound becomes 0.1 to 8% by weight and then melt-spinning the resulting mixture under the conditions of a spinning temperature of 200 to 250 C.°, a melt residence time of 180 to 1800 sec and a spinning rate of 500 to 10000 m/min.
