Abstract: According to one embodiment, a driving support apparatus includes a display device, a camera mounted on a vehicle, a vanishing line drawing processing unit that receives image information from the camera and generates a vanishing line by forming a set of vanishing points existing on a plane including the optical axis of the camera, the optical axis of the camera and the running direction of the vehicle being in parallel with each other, a vanishing point being defined as a virtual intersection point located at infinity of the optical axis of the camera and the running direction of the vehicle, and an image processing unit that converts the image information of the camera and the vanishing line into video signals, superimposes one of the video signals on the other and outputs the video signals to the display device.

Abstract: An apparatus for detecting a moving object includes: an image input unit that inputs a camera image; a motion vector generation unit that generates motion vectors of a plurality of points P in the image; an estimation unit that estimates rotational components of vehicle movement parameters as being equal to the inclination from each point P to a vanishing point when the inclination of the motion vector of each point P is corrected by the rotational components; and a determination unit that corrects the inclination of the motion vector of a given point Q in the image, and detects the existence of a moving object that moves in a direction different from the vehicle movement direction when the coincidence degree between the inclinations is low, while detects the existence of an object that radially moves toward the vanishing point when the coincidence degree of the inclinations is high.

Abstract: According to one embodiment, a camera calibration apparatus includes: a plurality of on-vehicle cameras; a feature point detection section that identifies an image of lines representing a parking frame from each of images by the plurality of cameras and detects two feature points; a viewpoint conversion section that generate an overhead view having a viewpoint from just above the vehicle based on the feature points and two directions crossing each other at each of the feature points; and an adjustment section that determines the boundary position between the vehicle and line image from the overhead view to determine the display frame of a vehicle image and changes the overhead view such that the size ratio and position of the display frame become previously specified values.

  • Publication number: 20110043341
Abstract: According to one embodiment, an imaging unit inputs a camera image of surroundings of a vehicle. The surroundings include at least one of a front side and a back side of the vehicle. A first image generation unit generates a mask image to conceal a protection region of personal information included in a region of a first vehicle on the camera image. The first vehicle exists at the front side or the back side of the user's vehicle. A surroundings-monitoring unit decides whether a second vehicle exists at a front side or a back side of the first vehicle by monitoring the camera image. A second image generation unit generates an identification image of the second vehicle when the second vehicle exists. A processing unit generates a composite image by combining the mask image and the identification image with the camera image, and displays the composite image to present to a user of the vehicle.

Abstract: An optical disc reproducing device including rollers configured to carry an optical disc inserted in a slot in an inside direction to a reproduction possible position and to carry the optical disc in an outside direction to a prescribed ejecting position from the reproduction possible position, a plurality of position detecting switches to detect positions of the optical disc in the device, and a carrying control unit configured to control to drive the rollers based on states of the position detecting switches so as to carry the optical disc. The carrying control unit, when the optical disc stops at a position except the reproduction possible position and the ejecting position, drives the rollers to carry the stopped optical disc to the ejecting position, in at least one of cases that a state of any position detecting switch has changed and that any operating key is operated by a user.
